    Cycloniac's TrueSim NHL 21 Sliders

You know what to expect by now: simulation hockey. Throughout the years, I've never been afraid of pushing boundaries and trying different things with sliders. This year is no different.

This year, neutral zone and forechecking AI is better than ever. I'm really pleased with the improvements made in those areas, which allowed me to bring this game even closer to the hardcore, authentic hockey experience I want.

These were tested using the True Broadcast Cam in order to get an accurate measure of game and player speed. They can be used not ony in human vs cpu games, but also in coach mode and CPU v CPU games equally well. They were also tested in franchise mode, so they are franchise-ready.

For the past two years, I've also released a roster set to accompany the sliders. This year’s roster is currently under development and a separate thread in the roster forum will be created when it is ready.
Give them a go and let me know what you think.[/center]

They can be used in any format: Hum v CPU, CPUvCPU, and coach mode.

Excited to try these. I have been playing on pro since I can't use the skill stick like some of you guys. How do these translate on pro and should I try AS?

Also..on user strategy adj..I like the CPU to switch strategy for PP/PK automatically. Any reason you prefer 0?

I would try AS first, but Pro may work because the AI is much more aggressive in the neutral zone and on the forecheck this year.

I like to change my strategies manually, but if you want the AI to handle that, I would use 5 for both user and AI strategy adjustment.

Will you have 20 minutes period sliders again this year?

Not to make this thread awkward but I love your sliders man. lol

They mesh with my playstyle very well.

I really like how Pro plays but I am one of those people that find it too easy. Luckily there is room with these sliders to make the CPU better so I do use them on Pro. I change the AI difficulty slider to 5 and I put user goalie cross crease reaction to 0 and goalie reaction to 0. I also put 75 for each of those for thr CPU.

I'm 7-5 right now in my franchise and loving every minute of it.

                  Glad you're enjoying them!

I think Pro would be much more playable this year in terms of challenge because of how aggressive the AI is.

Battle of two elite goalies. Maple Leafs used their speed and won faceoffs to control the puck possession game.

                      A couple of questions:

A.) This is your most recent slider set?
B.) Is this using EA rosters or TrueSim rosters?
C.) What difficulty was this on?
D.) Was this AI vs AI?
E.) What mode was this played in?

The stats look great! 61 shots in 60 minutes with 51 faceoffs, among other good totals!

I know I've asked you this before, but I can't quite recall the answer. Does play now play differently than franchise?

Yes, it does. A couple of years ago, I did all of my testing in play now. I was happy with the results. The second I took the sliders into franchise, I knew I messed up. It played much differently.
