Our second game of the season was another pitchers duel as our Day 2 starter Hideaki Wakui faced off against Orix Buffaloes Taisuke Yamaoka. Both pitchers were extremely sharp as were the Day 1 starters. In the end, Yamaoka was just a tad bit better as Orix won 3-2. The Eagles attempted a late 9th inning comeback but were quickly shut down as soon as Orix brought in their closer Brandon Dickson and his devastating curveball to end the game. On the positive side, star slugger Hideto Asamura was able to hit his first home run of the season launching a pitch over the left field fence in the 8th inning.
