I then wrote a C# console app which iterates over the 2k8 spreadsheets, looks up first and last name in the 2k10 spreadsheet and updates the values (atleast the ones that are in 2k10 and 2k8).

When a CSV file is loaded, the 2K8 editor shows the message "File loaded successfully".

When you hit "OK", another message pops up asking how overall ratings should be handled.

If you chose "Import", the editor sets the player's overall ratings to whatever is specified in the spreadsheet (OVR, OFF, DEF columns). If you didn't update these columns, that explains why the players still have their old overall ratings.

If you want to ignore those columns and have the editor recalculate the overall ratings, just choose "Estimate" instead.

Actually it really was just a question. Anyway I wrote myself a little tool and updated the ratings (took them from Sascha's 2k10 Rosters). Unfortunately this didn't automatically updated the overall rating. Is this just the sum of all attributes / number of attributes?

Is it ok, if I post the updated roster here after fixing the overall values?

I‘m okay with it. I will not have much time in near future for roster tweaking so any help is absolutely welcome

Okay, in the attachments are the two spreadsheets which can be imported with the NHL 2k8 roster editor. Make sure to remove all entries before.

How does it work?
I took austrianredwing's "NHL 2K8 rosters March 24th 2020" and exported them. Then I took rangers9911's update for the 2k10 Rosters (https://forums.operationsports.com/f...6&postcount=58) and exported it using the 2k10 utility.

I then imported the ratings from the 2k10 spreadsheet to the 2k8 spreadsheet. The following properties were NOT updated, since they are not in the 2k10 spreadsheet (atleast not with the same name):

Another problem was, that the player names didn't match all the time (i.E.: "P K Subban" and "P.K. Subban")

So I took the latest roster and made all the transactions till now (kept unsigned RFA's at their team). I did not create any players yet.

I also updated the ratings for some Avalanche players (increased, MacKinnon, Kadri, Rantanen, Makar, Girard, Compher; decreased Bellemare) but as a fan, I am biased so maybe somebody should have a 2nd look

I didn't took any 2k10 ratings, kept the rest the same.

I hope it is ok that I post them here.

I am looking for the most recent rosters for NHL2k8, thank you for helping so far! we did have to activate the account.

We have made it through the whole process and in the end we have gotten either no change or a custom beaver team with no players in the game.

I think we are missing something, What does unpack the file mean?

We tried both redwings and soeby file, both transferred easily into the roster on horizon but got nothing in the end

Hopefully a 360 owner can help. I haven't touched 360 files in a long time. I assume you were looking at these instructions:

By "unpack" he probably means to extract the ROS/DAT file from the ZIP (or RAR) file first. There are different instructions here:
