    Coach leaves?

    During a dynasty when you are the head coach can your assistants leave on their own. When they do do you have control over who comes in to replace them?

      Yes and No. If you are successful, your coordinators are almost guaranteed to leave.

      The CPU hires replacements.

          Thank you. That makes sense I had noticed that my D Coord named changed after a great season.

              I will add that the better program you are the better coaches will come in. An example is I was a 6* program, ranked top 10 each season, and in a Power 5 conference. I was able to land some big coordinators who got fired from their head coaching jobs. Had a maxed out Kiffen, Kyle Flood, Brady Hoke, and Mullen. The cost of winning is losing your coaches.

                  As others have said if you are very successful, the coaches tend to leave every season. The only exception is sometimes you will get an older coach who was let go that joins your staff and stays on until they retire.



                  For instance, during my current dynasty, in year 10, Willie Taggart was hired as my OC. He stayed as the OC for 5 seasons straight and then retired.

                  Same thing happened with a randomly generated DC later in my longest played dynasty, I picked up a maxed out CPU Generated DC who retired after 3 seasons of coaching as my defensive coordinator.

                      It would have been nice to have control over the assistants you hire if you’re the head coach. I know EA was working on an athletic director mode for the game that never was. I’m sure they would have included options like that.
