There also seems to be a bit of Mario running going on or something. I dunno something with the running is throwing me off.2016 NLL Champion Saskatchewan Rush

Wow really? Keep in mind users that spam the sprint button and dribbling moves make the game look unorthodox.Comment

I don't know if it's the damn 1080P videos or the NBA Live'ish animations/look, but I feel like my excitement is getting lower and lower with each new video.
And what I mean by the NBA Live look is the wide/broad shoulders with skinny arms attached to them.Comment

Did the CPU really just take a charge, by itself, at 1:43????
OKAY. NOW that's what I call good defense. You're in position, he's charging at you, set your feet and take the hit!
The fact that it was the CPU that did it gives me hope, but I hope we can still get this same stuff when it's human players, and that they're not ignoring obvious chargers with "slide out the way" animations anymore.Comment

Re: NBA 2K21 Next Gen gameplay (Sacramento Kings vs Team Lebron)
I got through a couple minutes and had to stop watching because of the playstyle.
I think this is true for most 2k games, the game can look better or worse depending on how the game is being played. We've all seen the yearly leaked Gamescom videos where the people playing looking like they have no idea what they're doing and the game looks bad as a result. But put the game in the hands of people trying to play actual basketball and it looks a lot better.
I even notice this with myself when I play. The game looks and feels better if I try to play smart basketball. But if I spam moves and try playing hero ball with the star player not only does it not look like good basketball, the game doesn't feel right either.Comment

I get what you are saying about the Live look. In some respects I think it looks better but I'll have to play the game myself to tell. It also depends on the players and what their real life body type looks like. The look could be more accurate for some players than others.Though I'll take this over the days of players looking like body builders or the year some players had that super skinny body type (maybe 2k17? Steph Curry was the poster child for it).
But it's hard for me to compare this video to other 2ks because I always play from broadcast cam so by nature 2K cam makes body types and animations look different to me.Comment

There were some nice defensive rotations in this video, even with the user taking his man out of position.Comment

I can see some of the improvements regarding contact and how smooth things chain together (the KAT backdown and Kawhi drive for example). But just like with the yearly ghetto footage the camera angle, players, and video quality does it no justice. There were some significantly last gen looking things in here though.Comment
