First of all 2k has finally delivered the motherlode for online league hoopers with the combining of myleague/mygm/myleague online. For the first time ever online league heads now get to enjoy all of the offline features that have eluded us since this mode was called the association online way back when.
We now have player and team development, wear and tear progressive fatigue, team chemistry and morale, the mygm tasks and actions, the g league, and everything in between, ALL WITHIN THE CONTEXT OF PLAYING IN A 30 MAN USER LEAGUE. The immersion is crazy deep as we now get to stay engaged with our franchises in every way imaginable while competing with your friends for a championship.
As for the few hiccups that I have encountered:
1)cannot play g league games in mynba online as they are just cpu vs cpu games. Here you see that it lets you try to play the g league game.
However when you get in the pregame team select it’s locked on cpu vs cpu. I wonder if g league games are simply not playable for online leagues. Again not a big deal as the g league call ups for rosters are the most important thing but still would like this addressed by devs if possible
2) cannot seem to change the camera in scrimmage mode to broadcast cam as it defaults to this wierd aerial skybox cam only in this mode. I have a feeling it has something to do with the gm role playing aspect of the league where the GM is perhaps observing practice and scrimmage from the skybox or suite? I am simply stumped on this and would like others in the community to help verify this.
EDIT: this seems to be working now! It was glitchy on day one but there was an update required this morning and it’s now working so please ignore.
3) how will wear and tear and progressive fatigue work in a 30 man league with flex scheduling? Interested to see how this is applied in an online league.
4)how will the rpg GM role playing aspect with regards to mygm elements being embedded in online leagues affect gameplay or player attributes or offseason tasks like free agency. I have never dabbled in mygm in the past as I’ve strictly been a mlo guy for years now so I probably need to go back and read the mygm 2.0 dev blog from 2k20. I would love some feedback from mygm hoopers in terms of how relationship scores and action points work.
