Ariza was doing too much dribbling and also gameplay has a NBA Live look to it. -
Re: NBA 2K21 Next-Gen Gameplay Video - T-Wolves vs. Blazers (Da_Czar)
Agree, CPU doing to much dribbling inside the area without a clear solution in mind often finishing with a bad contested shoot.
Again, it's a nonsense see players that bounce and bounce in static position around the elbow zoneComment

Same thing on current gen . Those blogs were all fluff . It’s the same game gameplay wise . Trevor ariza mindlessly just dribbling away into peoples stomach in the mid range area 🤮

Oh yea , as a man who who cares sooo much about immersion , it hurts to see the players still don’t follow through on their shots.

Maybe it's my fault for expecting too much, but my excitement has dropped from a 9 to a 3 after watching various gameplay videos. Everything that I dislike about the current gen seems to exist on the next gen version. Those blogs got me super hyped. Alas.Comment

Also, we all know Lillard shoots quite a bit of threes but he shot like 8-9 threes in one 8 minute quarter...

Re: NBA 2K21 Next-Gen Gameplay Video - T-Wolves vs. Blazers (Da_Czar)
This is a problem with 2k, every single iteration - a lot of us will have to spend hours, days even months fixing tendencies and signature stuff to get players doing what they should be doing.
I've got love for them and everything they give us, but man do I get sick of spending the first few months of every release getting the game right before I can dig in and enjoy it.
Jury is still out though, I haven't seen enough of the game yet to start panicking about how much elbow grease it'll need before I can start Myleague.
Lot more positive feedback than negative for next gen, right now.-----------------------------------------

Re: NBA 2K21 Next-Gen Gameplay Video - T-Wolves vs. Blazers (Da_Czar)
This is what worried me--Czar's offense is just a mix of isolation, post-ups with KAT, and manual PnR. User offense is still all quick-hitters; there's no good flow, motion, possessions with multiple quick passes/pings leading to an open shot. Trying to run any real offense appears to still be way too clunky of an exercise. When Czar does run a play it doesn't lead to a good look, just an isolation or a forced jumper. In short, 2K still doesn't look like NBA basketball.
There isn't a real drive and kick sequence in there, there is nothing close to beautiful team basketball. The defense is never broken down and put into rotation where they recover and force a pass then another pass. As a user, you run one action per possession and hope it works. You basically have the time to run that, take a shot with your primary option or make one pass for a secondary option.
I did like that it seems like CPU defenders aren't glued to your guys on the perimeter quite as much. It was a little easier to get off threes since they were giving you a bit of space in some situations."You make your name in the regular season, and your fame in the postseason." - Clyde Frazier

Yikes - more negative takes in here than I was expecting. But fair play to everyone.
I enjoyed the video personally. Definitely a contrast to some of the YT filth that's out there.
More than anything, I just want to get a damn console and FEEL it for myself.
But hopefully Czar keeps bringing more vids - as mentioned, I enjoyed it personally.Comment
