Is it safe to say the next gen Madden if it ever comes out is just going to be a port with somewhat better graphics? I would think if they were changing the game in any way, they would be showing trailers and hype videos. The only reason they aren't showing it because they would get annihilated on social media if it was another port with somewhat better graphics like the original PS4 Madden.

If it wasn't a port, they would be showing it like 2k did. And even 2k basketball is very similar. I have a feeling it's going to be the same exact game like Call of Duty. Like literally a port.

Yeah, at this point with the way they’re “promoting” it that’s def it. I’ve jumped to 2k :’( cuz I need my franchise/ML fix.

Next gen information confirmed to be coming 11 AM on Wednesday with a preview on Operation Sports. Interestingly the author said "there is a good reason they've been quiet"

Wonder if this falls somewhere between better than current gen Madden and not good enough to promote after what 2K did? It should be good news that it is strictly not a port with better graphics, but still feels like they are so far behind that they may never catch up.

I feel the 2k vs Madden comparison really isn't a realistic comparison, because you have the EA team who really don't have a big extensive team for madden they had to.borrow guys from the NBA live team for help creating a new mode at one point, where 2k literally invest in adding a team of guys per game mode so everything gets worked on every year individually.

So far with madden if something new is added then that means another game mode will get ignored because it's all hands on deck for the new mode. Wish EA would invest more into the guys working on the game so they could get a lot more done in a years time like 2k has shown to be possible.

Did anyone else experience a strange thing during last night's MNF game?

At some point in the 2nd half, during the game stream online, it cut to about 3-4 seconds of a Madden commercial that looked like a reveal. It had the stadium lights kick on and then said "Madden like you've never seen it before." It also briefly had Brady walking out of the tunnel. The thing that was off to me was he was in a NE uni. Which made me believe it was from last year and in error?

The broadcast quickly cut back to the live game and I never heard or saw another word.

Was I the only one to see or experience this?

Hmmm I didn’t see that, but that sounds like the Madden 18 trailer.

I hope the PC version gets the update as well. Seems stupid to be stuck with the old version when most computers are still better than next gen consoles that just came out.

Doubtful, probably all the focus on the 2 consoles and then hopefully we get it on PC next year.
