Small thing, but stoked they got rid of the xp pop ups in franchise mode. That made me feel like I was playing street fighter lol

Updating rn...maybe we'll be able to add the pacifier...I mean mouthguard in Franchise mode now? Hoping for a shoe color option in edit player too. I don't even know if those options can be patched in, but I can hope, right?

DEV NOTE: Based on player feedback, we have turned off the XP overhead pop-ups in Franchise gameplay by default so there would be less clutter appearing on the screen during gameplay. For users who prefer this feature, it can be re-enabled via the ‘Drive Goals & XP Feedback’ setting in the Franchise settings menu

Welp... guess we can never say that EA doesn't listen.

When they are releasing new patches almost weekly they will all seem “underwhelming.”


This particular fix has been one of the most complained about issues so it’s a pretty big win for a lot of people even if not for you.

That's a really cool, unexpected fix. I do appreciate that they're showing a desire to go above and beyond when possible with franchise. This fix and the removal of the actual numbers in FA bidding that they added last week weren't hyped or promised, but they still fit them in. That's the kind of effort that will result in a great mode for us if it keeps up for the long run.

Also, when is the last time we got patches two weeks straight for Franchise that weren't just bug removals, but actually added features? Pretty nice.

I've had the XP indicators turned off since they implemented the feature. It is always surprising when I watch sim players and leagues that they have it on.

Yeah, same, I turn off stuff like that on all Role Playing Games I play, including Madden.

Whilst I agree with the first paragraph, I remain mystified as to who these players are that have been complaining about the pop-ups , and why they haven't just switched them off as that option has always been available. All they have changed is set the toggle to off by default

I haven't used the XP pop-ups since they were linked to the kicking meter disappearing last year.

Good to see that RPO bubble defense is getting addressed, that's one coverage bug squashed. Many to go.

Because for a lot of gamers, step 1 in the "I don't like this thing" process isn't "hmm...can I modify this?"...it's "man, this developer clearly doesn't care about their audience, #developersucks #fixthisforme"

With the added dynamic that if they don't change the default when asked, no matter how configurable that default is, the developer takes extra "they never listen" damage.

Especially when the well is as poisoned as it is with EA.
