What I really dislike in this game (don't know if its still the case with next gen, as I am still stuck on old gen - PC): Players rather stay unemployed than accepting a contract with less money than they originally wanted. It's like players impression of their salary worth is tied only to their OVR/age/potential and not to how much salary actually is available.


In real life DeMarcus Cousins takes a 1 season contract for below 10 Mio $, in 2k he would rather be unemployed for years.


That's especially a problem as the playerbase in 2k tends to improve way to much, resulting in many 80 players being free agents, because nobody wants to spend max contracts on the 7th best guy on the roster.
