I can just tell you this....

The people I've talked to who have actually seen the gameplay and everything in action, it's gonna be a step up. I've talked to a few people and they all said it looked very good. I trust those people, but also keep in mind, everyone's opinion is different.

One more thing, these people aren't Madden fan boys.

Yea all of the previews I’ve seen, people are genuinely impressed. But why no gameplay this close to release? It’s “maddening” lol.

They still haven't shown the next gen sidelines have they? In the presentation blog there weren't even screenshots right?

Definitely feeling concerned that Madden is going to flop into another generation as a disappointment but time will tell

Anyone here actually play current gen on PS5? I just purchased it at Target cause I wanted to try out the upgrade. Unlike NBA 2K, I don't wanna purchase one for Series X and PS5.

Just curious how it plays.

If you previously played it on PS4 Pro, it's virtually the same aside from much faster load times (assuming you're installing to the internal SSD and not external storage). If you've only seen it on the base PS4 it's a clear step up performance-wise from that.

One thing you can do on both the Pro and PS5 is to lower the system resolution to 1080p, which unlocks the game's framerate to 60 FPS everywhere, not just during gameplay. At 4k resolution, only gameplay will be 60 FPS - between play scenes and menus lock to 30.

I said this in another thread and it's only my opinion but......

Them not showing anything doesnt worry me in the least bit. In all honesty I just dont see a scenario where it benefits EA at all. They could show gameplay of the best NFL game ever made and it would either get ripped to shreds or have some conspiracy theory about doctored video footage.

Its Madden and there are a number of people just itching for gameplay videos to get more off their chests. lol I'm not at all saying people arent justified to be mad at Madden but I also dont see alot of objectivity either.

If they truly are happy with the product, let it speak for itself at this point.

I truly dont believe there is a gameplay video they could put out that would help them right now.

I'm picking my XSX tomorrow so I'm pumped for Friday's release. Need to finish up this chise as I think I'll start a fresh CFM with next gen M21.

Thanks for the response. I’ve only played it on PC. I don’t expect it to play better, I’m just want to utilize the consoles I bought. I was just curious if it maybe performed like the Show did on PS5. Now that’s how I thought most last gen games would play.

the real judge is madden 22 madden 25 for the ps4 was not that different ex for better graphics and player models

Been playing PS4 madden on ps5 and it is very smooth throughout the game cutscenes after plays are at 60fps and that just gives it a very real lifelike appearance

With the game coming out on Friday im sure its in stores now. I know someone has to get the game early and leak gameplay.
Also I heard some game changers might be releasing gameplay tomorrow.

Since this is basically being “updated” for people who already have the current gen, I don’t see how people are thinking this is going to be much different. I mean, how much different can it be, it’s literally the same code?

Even NBA2K21, which was a separate game, looks very much like NBA2k20 from PC.

This first batch of games are basically all ports.
