Good afternoon! I have been around for a while, but don’t post. I really enjoy soccer games and struggling this year. I have both PES and FIFA 21. Just want to see what people think of the two titles.

I know this is the PES forum and will also post in the FIFA forum.

PES 21, for me, far more resembles real life futbol. Every video game has its warts, but PES has much more "good" than "bad" this year.

Full Manual passing has changed the game for me too, really enjoying how it slows the pace down, yet still allows for greater creativity.

FIFA is a series of 1v1 matchups on an 11v11 pitch, IMO. It is so geared to a competitive online experience. I'm not saying that's bad, they make millions- but it's not for me.

I played both and PES is still the far superior soccer game. Everything on the pitch feels more like i play soccer compared to FIFA and i'm not a PES-Fanboy. I just want to play the best soccer game available. If it´s FIFA, good, if it's PES, it's good either. I don't care. But, to be honest, Konami makes just a better job in my opinion.

I played both and PES is still the far superior soccer game. Everything on the pitch feels more like i play soccer compared to FIFA and i'm not a PES-Fanboy. I just want to play the best soccer game available. If it´s FIFA, good, if it's PES, it's good either. I don't care. But, to be honest, Konami makes just a better job in my opinion.

A better job doesnt automatically mean a GOOD job.
The way these athletes react and change pace is laughable..their reaction time is too sluggish.

The referee is just ridiculous the foul calls are always dubious and illogical and the ball advantage calls are always ruined by him.

Headers are a joke.

Maybe my biggest issue with this game is awareness. Players run towards the ball to not even interact with it just walk past or over it.
Skill moves aren't a healthy part of the game way too difficult too perform(also because of the sluggish animations).

Penalty kicks are so arcady its either left or right and the keeper has 2 animations left of right dive.

There is a long road ahead for konami if they want to deliver a good simulation soccer game.. i feel like they had it a decade ago but lost it somewhere along the way.

Also i feel conned by konami because they gave us a solid game with the 2020 demo it felt so fluid and responsive but then the final game was a total clusterf$#ck.

Also this weekly Wednesday maintenance that takes 8 hours should be scrapped.

I still play it everyday dont get me wrong but its just my opinion on the game. The game just needs a lot of work.

I love they added the arabic commentary finally its the best commentary in the game hands down.

I always played pes ..long time ago ..played fifa seriously too but last couple of years...i won't even get to that..fifa is plain trash all around in my opinion. Its a game that totally disrespects consumers with their laziness and money hungry tendencies. Pes still has my love eventhough it needs a lot if work.

This is spot on. I want FIFA to be better because they have the presentation factor but PES just feels way more realistic. The ball physics in PES are so far superior to FIFA. Dont get me wrong, PES has its problems but its still way more fun and more satisfying when you score a goal. I really do love the FIFA presentation this year but thats all i can say i love about it.

Thanks for the feedback. I have both games, but keep coming back to PES. It does feel more realistic. There are still some quirks, but I enjoy the gameplay. Lack of fouls is a problem and it does take time to get a hang of the controls. Definitely not a new player to this series, though. Love the customization, too.

FIFA's is better just because it doesn't have regens (retired players coming back into your Youth Academy with ridiculously high ratings) and a better Youth system overall BUT PES has some really cool team management features that affect how you build your squad and what effects players/training/etc... have on each other.
