I think this should cover most of the surrounding elements for the Madden presentation stuff at this point. So again if peeps end up wanting to use this stuff to discuss how they want the crowds or sidelines to improve in the future these should help. And we can roll that sort of stuff out then into future articles and such if there's enough feedback.

Just like everything else EA does with the game. Madden launch every year is literally "....not really the upgrade some of us hoped for or expected".

Whys should they upgrade it if the majority of the "voices/critics" support their business practices?  Not to mention the NFL themselves.  At this point (which I've said for over a decade), just enjoy the game for all its arcade goodness with official licensing.   Although I must admit that the presentation is lackluster, especially considering we are into yet another generation and you can see FIFA's presentation is much better.

It's always "next year" with Madden

I gave up in 2016 and since then nothing EA Tiburon has done has made me want to buy Madden again, and I own a PS5

            Maybe next year, lol

Why want a good product when you can settle for a mediocre one at the same cost?

You're not enjoying the game for all its arcade goodness with official licensing, you're being forced into playing an awful video game just because it's the sole one of its kind for an extremely huge market.

Two positive things are that (1) metallic helmets look metallic on the sideline (been a long time coming) and (2) Many of the models are actual player models, or at least models with your player numbers and names. However ALL of your team should be represented here.

But given the choice, if there’s a memory limitation, I would prefer the helmets and jerseys look right than every single player be accurately represented.

Small detail but when inspecting the browns sideline via instant replay, several of the "upfront" players look like their real life counterparts for sure. There are still some "copy and paste" strange looking players in the background as well but I noticed they are using different texture assetts as well. Browns were wearing brown jerseys with white lettering yet the extra players back by the bench had same jerseys with white numbers but the names on the jersey were in orange. Weird? There is no jersey with that combo so I am guessing this extra player is calling upon some older reference to when the Browns were wearing their old jerseys over the last 5 years (prior to this year) and they did have orange lettering. I am guessing it just got missed. Weird that it colored the player name different than the number.

Of course I will never see this when playing the game of barely ever see it on cutscenes but since this thread was to talk about sideline details I thought I'd mention it. Maybe other teams have similar issues?

I love it when people argue that they're forced to play Madden like they're somehow a victim lol. Having hundreds of dollars worth of disposable income to spend on a video game and console that you don't even like is the epitome of first world problems.

I'm a passionate football fan who watches his team play each and every Sunday. I love the sport, I love players, I love the league. I love immersing myself in the NFL and creating my own pocket universe that I can control.

Now tell me where I can find an enjoyable video game experience that is NFL licensed outside of Madden.

Nowhere did I claim I was a 'victim' because I was fortunate enough to own a video game console and a particular video game. Don't twist words and try to inflate issues people have with a video game just because there are bigger problems in the world. Of course there are but we're on a Madden message board so now is actually the time and place to discuss it.

Also, just a tip, you have zero knowledge of my or anyone else's personal life so I would probably decide against trying to make a statement about them as if you do.

Care to bring the discussion back to the actual topic at hand (i.e. Madden the video game) or do you just want to try and derail any argument that you don't vibe with just because of some outside details?

I want Madden to be GOOD, that's why I voice my opinion here. Going quiet and just 'accepting' the state Madden is in means it has even less of a chance of improving, which it very clearly needs to.

^^ Good point. As the Good Book puts it (and a famous hippy song), there is a time and place for everything, and the time and place to discuss problems with Madden — and our disappointment with them — is here and now on this forum.
