Reflection Basketball Association is an online league for Xbox Series X where we will play an 82 game season, 12 min quarters, and simulation style basketball. We want it to mimic real life so if you don't play realistic then this is not the league for you. We run plays, set strategies, the whole nine. None of that rim running all game and curry sliding all game around here. This will be a fun competitive league where we will strive to have awesome gameplay and all 30 teams with human users, regular rosters. Zero tolerance when it comes to cheating, quitting, and bad sportsmanship. There will be a weekly Sportscenter type show to keep you up to date with top plays and statistical updates. There will be season long incentives to keep things fresh and interesting. We will also have custom draft classes with unique prospects. We don't want this to be a one and done season. GAMEPLAY RULES
Play simulation style ball, no cheesing or cherry picking all game. NO RUN AND GUN ALL GAME.
Pausing. If time runs out, give the user 1 reset, after that message one the admins.
Defense is situational, so in our league we prefer on ball, but it is ok to play off ball to play the off ball screens and to anticipate passing lanes, just don’t abuse off ball defense all game. Example playing off ball and sitting in the paint with your big man or letting the cpu guard ball the whole possession. Stuff like that is frowned upon and not allowed in this league.
Defense
Ø User must guard the User majority of defensive possession.
Ø A user may control either defender in the screen and roll action. (Roller/popper or ball handler)
Ø A user may temporarily switch off the man guarding the ball to anticipate passes and help on plays and off ball screens. If a pass is not thrown switch back to guarding the ball
Ø The same Zone defense should not be played majority of the game. (Mix up the zones or play man)
Ø When playing zone defense the user must still control the defender guarding the ball
Offense
Ø User may not take more than 35 shots with a single player. Shots may exceed 35 in a 5 point game.
Ø User is only allowed 3 pick and rolls/pops per possession.
Ø User shall not exceed more than 50 three point attempts per game.
Ø Star players shall not enter a game winning by more than 25 points in the 4th quarter. If lead is cut to 10 they may enter the game again.
Team Rules
Ø NO trading until 5 games have been played
Ø NO staffing changes year 1.
Ø NO free agency pickups until 10 games are played and you only get 1.
Ø No more than 4 trades a season. 1 additional trade is allowed at 20 games. (Admin Approved. No CPU Trades
Ø No position changes unless that player plays the position in real life. 1 up, 1 down rule.
Ø NO RELOCATION
In Season Incentives
Ø 5 games played- 3 badge upgrades
Ø After that, every 10 games you get 1 badge upgrade. 1 max HOF badge a season. Meaning you can only max out 1 badge to HOF. All other max at gold.
Ø Every 10 games you get 4 attribute points.
Ø You can use them how you like except on (speed, acceleration, vertical, strength, and stamina) cannot upgrade the same attribute twice in one season per player.
Ø 10 games played 1 free agent pick up
End of Season Incentives
Ø MVP: 1 gold to HOF. 3 silvers to gold. 1 bronze to silver. 1 new badge.
Ø ROTY: Any 3 gold badges
Ø 6th Man: 2 silver badges. And 2 silver to gold.
Ø Most Improved: 2 silver to gold, 2 bronze to silver
Ø DPOY: 1 Defensive Gold to HOF. 2 Defensive silver to gold.
