Clarkie’s NHL 2021 Sliders And Gameplay Settings (Xbox One)

Clarkie’s NHL 21 Pro Sliders

First off, a big thank you to GTPO for his base that I used. I can't believe how great this game feels. I have made some slight adjustments to make it more to my liking. Here are a few things that I want to highlight about this set.

1) If you are looking for the online one timer goals over and over again, don't use these, you really need to be smart about passing and pass to spots, work to get your guys open. Passing is the most challenging thing to do with this set. Again if you want magnetic passing and high percentage pass completion than these are 100% not for you.

2) The variety of goals and animations on Pro and with these sliders is exactly what I have been waiting for since '93 haha.

3) Don't be scared by Pro, it is not as easy as you might think, other sliders have been tweaked to account for it being on pro

4) Real life game time is approx 45 minutes, I have had 6-1, 2-1, 4-3, 2-0 games, go both ways, some games I just can't buy a goal and other games the CPU doesn't have an answer for me.

5) Be sure to use proper strategies, dump and chase, cycle the puck, USE YOUR DEFENSEMEN, you will get deflections if there is traffic in front, sometimes they will lead to goals and other times they will lead to amazing saves.

6) Line changes are very important to stay on top of, one long shift for a line will effect your whole team until everyone is recovered. Important to have on Manual, the CPU sometimes makes line changes at a bad time, I like to control when my lines change, this is personal preference though, it does not effect gameplay, you might just give up a and not get odd man rushes, I like to get the odd 3 on 1 by pushing the puck up the ice and catch the CPU changing lines. Like in the NHL. Also if you change at the wrong time there is a chance the puck will end up in your net.

7) Big hits are a rarity in the NHL these days, there is a lot more shoulder bumping and jostling than big centre ice hits, the big hits are still there and you can really take someone out if they put themselves in a vulnerable position, I love this about these sliders. Hitting totals are bang on too.

I have had the most fun and realistic games and stats in this series EVER. I have gotten amazing results with these. Perfect stat lines and the feel to the game is great. Loose when it should be and skilled as well. You can actually feel the atmosphere change when you get a bunch of scoring chances and pressure. The CPU takes more chances when they are losing in the 3rd, which opens things up to take a bigger lead. Penalties are right where they should be, Shot totals, Hits. Passingg percentage. It's all there.

Give them a try if you are looking for the things that I have mentioned above. Any feedback is good feedback.
