Greetings fellow NBA 2K Gamers!
For those of us blessed enough to have a Next Gen console to play NBA 2K21 I give to you my slider set settings. Through careful testing for the past two months I have been able to completely rebuild the triggering of animations to have proper life like gameflow and feel. I will detail many of the reasons why some slider settings are the way they are inside the slider set but wanted to first explain the process in which I got to them.
By now everyone should know I'm a proud long standing member here at OperationSports that enjoys playing sports games by editing their sliders and rosters for the community. With new systems out new game versions come out that need support and NBA 2K21 is the first game I started with. Immediately I saw things in NBA 2k21 that made me finally feel like 2KSports listened to what their buyers wanted. My most favorite feature was the inclusion of proper bigmen running animations. Now each bigman felt like they had weight to their "back on offense" and "back on defense" run animations. It also helped to be more believable by adding walking animations as well. Overall this one addition simply made my speed edits make sense again, as before I had to work tirelessly REMOVING bigman running animations to make it look more natural. I can finally say that the movement slider section of the slider setting can work properly with these new animations to create a smooth looking game throughout. BUT NOT WITHOUT TWEAKING! (as us slider makers would say)
But not everything was perfect. It took a bit of finagling with the next gen version of NBA 2K21 to get it to play as life like as I would like it to. I spent a good majority of my time first studying the way players moved around. taking into account fidgety animation triggering and overall game flow speeds for certain plays, fast breaks and loose ball situations. It was with combing sections of the slider set with others that I was able to get to a happy medium.
