    Linebackers in Man Coverage

In man coverage, when the linebacker is covering the running back, why tf does the linebacker rush the quarterback if the HB runs a delayed route?

Because he thinks the back is staying in to block.

LBs with better PRC, Awareness, and coverage ratings are more likely to realise the back is running a route, and cover it.
There are some good PA passes with TEs on delayed routes, which can work well.

This or if you are usering the Dline and you're not really careful with the right stick the LB will take off after the QB and let his guy run free

You definitely need a LB with a bigger brain and AWR.

Usering the LB that covers the RB can help with this too. RB routes aren't too hard to predict and you can react however you want when the RB stays back.
