Re: NBA 2K - Georgiafan's 3 year realistic rebuilds / remasters

NBA Draft - Remaining G Preview

Like we have said this is a deep draft class at the same time its a odd one. We have already talked about most of the high profile G prospects like Joe Dumars, JR O'Neal, Machung Yi, Deion Justice and Gheorge Stefan. Overall this G class isn't very deep with only two locks to go in the lottery. The lack of depth is why Memphis is confident they will be able to trade Tyus Jones.

Name Mario Elie
Draft Projection Late 1st / Early 2nd

Overview
His calling card is his shoot and he can also score from inside so you could call him a 3 level scorer. He has good size at 6'5 as well as intangibles. He isn't a playmaker at all so isn't going to be a secondary ball handler. He is a really bad defender. He projects to be a shooter off the bench at the next level and can be a important role as a scorer in the 2nd unit.

-----------------------------------------------

Name Sam Vincent
Draft Projection Late 1st / Early 2nd

Overview
He can score inside and finish at the rim. He is a excellent playmaker so you could trust him running your 2nd team offense right away. He is just a average athlete, but does test well in one of the most important areas speed with the ball. He is a horrible 3 point shooter the worst in the class as a G. He is however a excellent FT shooter. He is another really bad defender. He isn't expected to have a lot of upside. When you factor in the bad defense with not being able to shoot its hard to see him as more then a 2nd round pick and 3rd PG until he improves. Some think he could be a Monte Morris type of player.

--------------------------

Name Tim Vincent
Draft Projection Mid 1st

Overview
A amazing athlete that can run like the wind. His driving dunk is the best in the class expect him to be competing in the dunk contest his rookie year. His perimeter defense is fine and in a year or so should be above average. He also has elite hands. He is 6'5 so he can play a few different positions for you. The biggest negative is the 3 point shoot it needs a lot of work. I would expect to see his name called somewhere in the teens his mix of athleticisms, dunking and defense potential makes him unique in this class.

----------------------------------------------------

Name Martin Pederson
Draft Projection Mid 1st

Overview
He is either the 2nd or 3rd ranked SG in the class competing with the above Tim Vincent. He is 6'3 so could play some PG when he improves his playmaking. He is a shooter that's his best skill. His offense is why he is going to get drafted in the middle of the 1st round. His defense isn't a issue and will be fine with time. As you would expect he can hit FT's and has quality hands. His ability to score inside is something that's uncommon from most of your 3 point specialist. A 3 point specialist that's good enough on defense and can dunk will catch the eye of a lot of teams.

---------------------------------------------------

Name Spud Webb
Draft Projection Early 2nd

Overview
Despite the fact that he isn't projected to go in the 1st round we wanted to talk about him as he is a fun prospect. He is a 5'7 dunker and you don't see many of those. He can score at the rim, but when you factor in his height its still a question mark. His playmaking is a real strength that gives him a secondary skill on offense. A lot of people think he has some upside. His athleticism is a mixed bag for example he is fast with the ball and of course can jump. The flip side of that is he has awful lateral quickness. Overall he isn't the type of athlete right now you would expect from someone that's 5'7. His defense is another major negative, but even with that he will get steals. A intriguing prospect in the modern NBA short G's that can't shoot or play defense its hard to bet on them to succeed. However with his athleticism and playmaking in the right up-tempo system he could be a quality role player that's a fan favorite.

Honorable Mention

PG Clayton Daniels
A athlete that can score at the rim and has some upside. He is another bad defender so expect his name to be called in the late 1st range.

SG Shane Kerr
A late rising prospect that's shooting up draft boards the last few weeks and now could go as high as the tail end of the lottery. This is despite the fact he is grading out at 70 overall on a lot of boards. The reason is he is a 3&D prospect that may be the most well balanced in the class. He grades out at B+ in perimeter defense and 3 point shooting. He is 6'5 so can play the 2 or the 3. He is a awful FT shooter.

SG Mo Elliot
Expected to go in the early 2nd round he is another + shooter that can score at the rim. He isn't nearly the defense player as Shane Kerr is. His shooting alone should get him drafted and atleast be able to land a two way deak.
