I get up early morning for work and my delight I see we inked him to a 4yr deal w/5th yr option. The band is back together. Two veteran starter's added to go along with Fried, Soroka and Anderson. I like, love our chances for a deep run in the playoffs at Truist!!!

A bit surprised by the news, but I'll take it.

Since I don't entertain thoughts of the DH in the NL, I guess that this means either Pache or Waters is on the move.

I'm stunned he signed for "only" $65M. Very glad to have him back, even in LF.

I think the assumption is the DH will be in play next year at the latest. So Waters gets another year at AAA? Although I've heard his name floated in rumors of a Jose Ramirez trade.

Overall, I've been really happy to go the streaming route. But being cut off from the Braves really sucks. Especially on Opening Day.

Too early to panic on any of this. The bright spot though is the team is basically playing 500 ball while Acuna in the only bat that has been going. 5 of the starters are under a .200 BA right now.


Concerning though
Although he's been a bit unlucky with bloop hits landing, fried especially has not shown his best stuff through the first 2 starts.

I missed anderson's first start, but his game on Saturday was rough. He was missing his targets by a mile in the first and even when he settled in, he was still pretty wild.

Will Smith is not missing bats in the 9th.

I think that Frenchy is an ok broadcaster, but I love having just Chip and Tom in the booth tonight. Their cadence seems to fit the game better than Franceour's more boisterous persona.

Was there an actual reason that wilson got pulled after 69 pitchers with a 10 run lead last night?

It was good to see Luke Jackson come in and walk the first batter with a 10 run lead. Felt just like old times.
