In the franchise deep dive for Madden 22 they mentioned coaching and staff management as one the areas they're looking to improve. I like the idea of using XP to buy coaching upgrades but the upgrades are pretty minimal except for the more scouting points and xp earned. The others under acquisition are hardly noticable. Just turn those into scenarios or use XP itself as kind of a currency. You have to balance getting upgrades vs using the xp to better influence a player to stay vs retire or a free agent to sign with you.

I'm in favor of giving what's there way more depth rather than some more superficial additions. I've said for years madden doesn't iterate on its additions. Besides some minor tweaks most features are the same as when they were first implemented. Scouting for example has been the same for years. The only change is that the rating unlocks prices have been reversed. Coaching skills have been the same.

Coaching carousel would be shallow if the coaches themselves have no depth.
