Under settings make sure you go under mode specific and turn on cross platform play.

I think I figured out the issue, everyone needs to create a Universal profile before it will work.

I tried this morning im on my ps5 and my buddy was on his xbox series s and we was able to send out the invites but not able to start the game if anyone was able to get a game started was help us out
