Curious if anyone can confirm this for me...

Are player traits static? Or do they have the potential to change over time. Example, a WR comes in with the Drops Passes trait. Is he stuck with that forever?(unless user edited) Or is there the potential for him to progress in a way that the trait changes? Similar question for other traits such as QB sense pressure etc.
