Re: “Clean Screen approach” users, how are you checking pitcher stamina?
Yeah it really sucks they took away the right d pad to pull up each pitcher's stamina and pitch count.
I find myself at bat thinking about possibly pulling SP but no way to see their current pitch count or stamina. I've even paused the game and it's nowhere unless you turn on pitch selection stuff. So odd they would get rid of such a easy tool we've all used and had for years.
Re: “Clean Screen approach” users, how are you checking pitcher stamina?
The just added a really annoying pop-up in the patch a couple days ago...you cannot possibly miss it (it's like those stupid pop-ups like the ones for sacrifice situations)
Personally, I loved not having anything obtuse to point out stamina. It forced a person to pay attention to how their pitcher was performing (i.e. which was far more realistic than looking at some meter).
Play the games you love, not the games you want to love.

Yeah I was honestly starting to wonder if I liked it more or not really, because if you think about it in real life a manager would have to pay attention to velocity, control issues or use a mound visit to asses the situation. And that’s what I’ve been doing. Pretty realistic I guess

It's way easier to see if a guy is tired in real life than in a video game though. You'd be able to tell from body language, demeanour, throw motion, etc. in addition to the things that are possible to see in game, such as consistency/accuracy of pitch placement, etc.
Re: “Clean Screen approach” users, how are you checking pitcher stamina?
I agree completely with making decisions based on pitch count or performance. In real life you can't look at a dudes health bar.
I definitely didn't miss the pop up. Its super annoying in Conquest as the stamina is nerfed so much to compensate for 3 inning games. Relief pitchers get that annoying pop up after 1 batter quite often.
Re: “Clean Screen approach” users, how are you checking pitcher stamina?
Yeah they brought the “pitcher getting tired” pop up back, but it remains nonsense. Got the notification, did a mound visit to check, dude was still at ~55% energy. So at default stamina, a guy with 100 stamina, gets the “getting tired” pop up around 55 pitches? Lol. Cool mechanic don’t know what I’d do without it.
Anyway I just kinda go by feel. Most guys have stamina ratings in the 70s so I just know that at around 75-80 pitches it’s getting close to the end.
Just one man’s opinion.
I don’t actually care about any of this.
