Help a Show newb set up his pitches for his SP

    Hello, OP Sports forums.

I am a huge baseball fan, but I am very new to The Show series, my first year as this is the first year it has been available on XBox. I have been debating on a 5th pitch for my Starting Pitcher on the A's.

My Archetype is The Professor, focusing on control. Current pitches are 4-Seam, Circle Change, 12-6 Curve, and Slider. I have been debating for a while on what to round myself out with, and I want some good opinions.

Also, my player is a right hander, if that affects your suggestions.

    Thanks in advance.

If it were me, I would go for a 2 seam fastball.

      I'd go with either a 2-seamer or a screwball.

Thanks for the advice. I have been torn between a 2-Seam and a Sinker. Both seemed good, but I might go 2-Seam just to have some fast that breaks arm side instead of glove.

I have a ton of success with a good cutter.

If you didn't have a slider I would have gone sinker for a ground ball pitch but with your other pitches the 2 seamer fit better.

I mean...the correct answer is obviously either a knuckleball, or eephus, right?

I’m a big fan of the cutter vs opposite handed batters

since you already have a 4seam, a slider, a circle change & a 12-6, this is my top 5 picks for the 5th pitch, ranked according to what you already have in the other 4:
                  1) 2seam
                  2) sinker
                  3) cutter
                  4) running fastball
                  5) splitter
