The Crimson Chronicles | A Harvard Crimson Dynasty (NCAA Football 14)

Number 1 Ranked University Takes On New Challenge
Harvard University takes first step towards college football greatness, joins the FBS

CAMBRIDGE -- The Harvard Crimson are officially a Division One FBS football team, per a joint announcement made by the university and the NCAA late Sunday night. After years of being ranked the number one university in academics as well as competing in the Football Championship Subdivision, Harvard has now taken on a new challenge and will now compete in the FBS in the hopes of becoming the number one ranked team in football and ultimately winning a National Championship.

"Many may discredit Harvard athletics based on our Ivy League status and assume that we have nothing to offer," new head coach Travis Ramsdell stated regarding the move. "However, we felt that we have become stagnant and with this move to FBS status, we can continue pushing our program and our university to achieve new heights much like we push our students and student-athletes."

While this move has left many fans of the college football world puzzled, Harvard's role in college football is not a new sight to see. Since their first season in 1873, Harvard has amassed 13 national championships as well as being home to 20 College Football Hall of Fame. Furthermore, Harvard is the eight winningest in NCAA Division I history.

Because of the sudden move, many assumed that Harvard would look to join the FBS as an independent and feel out the different conferences before ultimately joining one. However, Harvard took a different route and will be joining the MAC, setting out on a path that will lead to hopefully winning a conference championship. "We have a lot to offer and we feel like we are in prime position to shock the college world," Ramsdell concluded at the press conference. "Get ready, the Crimson are coming."

Leaving Seniors +2

I can only have two more players on my board than I have leaving my program. So if I have 10 players leaving my program, the most I can have on my board at a time is 12.

No Scouting

Essentially, I am not allowed to scout any players until they fully commit to my program. This will allow those "Gem" and "Bust" titles to mean so much more as I am stuck with the recruits.
