I think yes but most likely he would refuse it if Milwaukee wins, and I think it’s the team themselves that have to request it. If I remember correctly Varejao was offered one in 2016 and declined.

Milwaukee in either 6 or 7! Fear the Deer!
Giannis returns in game 2 and wins the Finals MVP.

Re: 2021 NBA Finals: (2)Phoenix Suns vs (3)Milwaukee Bucks
That would be a insane recovery time. But he was moving well last night. So who knows. I think his problem is cutting (which he does a lot of). Probably can run straight line. He won't be Euro stepping.
Just finish watching the full regular season games a few days ago. I suggest everyone back to check them out. Both were actually really great games. One went to OT. Both games were won by one point. I'm going back to last regular seasons game 2020. Ricky Rubio as the point guard for the Suns and Eric Bledsoe for the Bucks. Good times lolLast edited by jeebs9; 07-04-2021, 07:58 AM.Hands Down....Man Down - 2k9 memories

2021 NBA Finals: (2)Phoenix Suns vs (3)Milwaukee Bucks
Alright let’s get this out the way now cause I’m gonna bring this up a lot during the course of these Finals. Sooner or later the NBA is gonna have to listen to this very important issue and take action for the health of the league.

At some point I caught wind of a player saying those surfaces could be slippery, which probably led to their demise. First off, players had been playing on these surfaces for decades with little to no discernable issue. Second, it's not terribly difficult to imagine a company finding a way to make these decals while allowing for adequate traction if that really were an issue.
Third of all, seeing the NBA even pass over a superimposed "NBA Playoffs" decal in favor of an on-court Kia logo that just looks like "KN" is the worst. I've accepted advertising in sports all my life (I still remember Marlboro advertised on the in-arena scoreboard) but it sucks to feel it creep even further. It's like a virus, coming for the jerseys and now slowly infecting the field of play.
I like when the playoffs and finals feel as special as possible. That includes on-court art, jersey decals, and whatever else comes to mind.
Pistons bias aside, I always thought this was a rad idea too.

Re: 2021 NBA Finals: (2)Phoenix Suns vs (3)Milwaukee Bucks
So this year breaks many streaks in NBA history. If Suns win, its without an MVP on their team (Raptors technically did too, but Kawhi was already a former finals MVP before that Raptors season). I think Pistons are only team in modern era to do that?
Obviously someone's major title drought will end.
And I think this is the first finals since 1990 that doesn't feature Lebron, Wade, Kobe, Curry, Duncan, Jordan, Hakeem.Comment

Re: 2021 NBA Finals: (2)Phoenix Suns vs (3)Milwaukee Bucks
Always found how the NBA got rid of the Finals decal so quickly weird. If I remember correctly someone either got hurt or nearly got hurt because of the decals being slippery or something and they just threw it out next year and forever. I thought the NBA cared about the decals as much as fans so how naive I was.
I mean, protecting players is paramount but I think they were using a new material or a new company (don't quote me on that)? So I thought "oh, they will just go back to old ones and that be that".OSHA Inspector for the NBA.Comment

Re: 2021 NBA Finals: (2)Phoenix Suns vs (3)Milwaukee Bucks
In 1968 both the Suns and Bucks franchises were born. They also had a coin flip for who will be the first pick in the NBA draft. The Suns lose and the Bucks drafted Lou Alcindor aka Kareem Abdul Jabbar. The rest is history.
Many of the old Suns fans say this is when the Suns curse started.
I find no other better way to kill the curse by beating the team that started it.

Re: 2021 NBA Finals: (2)Phoenix Suns vs (3)Milwaukee Bucks
I understand the reasoning but it doesn’t mean I accept it lol
I just think it’s a traditional thing, a denotation rather than an advertisement, in the same way we have special All Star unis. We know it’s an ASG and they’re a visual representation, same with the playoff stickers.
As for the slipping issue, I’m sure they could digitally superimpose them, both for TV audiences and for live fans. They can do crazy visual performances using the court itself a Playoff sticker or Finals logo can be done too.
