PS5 EA Play Madden Release Date?

Very confused on how EA Play works for PS5 or if it even exists and what the release date is?

According to an article, there is no EA Play for PS5

And if you have EA Play you can play Madden 22 for 10 hours on August 12th rather than the 17th (or 20th).

So can anyone clarify how it would work for PS5? I'd ideally like to play it on August 12th and get my 10 hours in.

There is EA play for PS5. There isn’t a hub like for other consoles though.

But if you have it, you go to the store, find your game you want and download from the PSN store.

So I don't think I currently have EA Play, I just buy the early Madden version and I'll be able to play it for 10 hours on the 12th?? I'm confused.

or I buy EA Play at the PS5 store and then on the 12th I'll have access to Madden?

If you buy the game, you play it whatever date it shows it unlocks for unlimited time.

If you got EA Play, you’ll get the 10 hour free trial before you decide to buy it.

Ok I just bought EA play on the PS5 store... so on the 12th I just go to the EA Play button on the store and it'll show up? Or I go to the Madden screen then and I'll just have it?

If you purchased EA Play, you just open it on the day that the demo for M22 is available and it will show as an available download (unless its different than xbox for some reason).

Is there difference with ea play pro? The advertisement for pro says unlimited time trial instead of 10 hours... (it doesn't mention Madden specifically.)

EA Play Pro is exclusively on PC. Yes it does come with unlimited play time. It’s also more expensive than the base model EA Play. Good deal for EA games on PC. Also be aware PC will still have the last gen version of Madden.

Just remember that so far every year of this 10 hour early trial of Madden has released the day before the announced release. I fully expect that it will be downloadable and playable on Wed the 11th, one week from today. Last year it was available a day early at 11 am est. also if you play past the ten hours, you can create a second account with a different email and play another 10 hours. ( you have to pay a second time obv)

thank you. does anyone think they will allow us to download it ahead of the 11th or 12th? Or once it officially "Releases" we will have to wait 4-5 hours for it to fully download?

Last year xbox got to pre-load one day before EA Access. I think PS got their pre-load before that. Usually PS is way better about allowing people to do pre-loads than xbox is.

I should have 10 on series X and 10 on PS5 to decide which system and also not have to preorder for early 3 days
