Preseason is underway and here are our predictions for the league this season.
Title contenders
Right now only two teams stand out as clear favorites, Manchester City and Chelsea. No surprises here with both in the Champions League final last year but Chelsea adding Lukaku with City adding Grealish and Kane really put them apart from the rest.
Top four favorites
Outside of Chelsea and Man City, two teams look like they are favorites for the final two spots. Liverpool are back as strong as ever and if they can stay healthy will be there. Manchester United made two big signings with Jadon Sancho and Varane to help tighten the defense.
Europa League contenders
That leaves five teams in the third tier. Arsenal continue their young rebuild under Mikel Arteta signing Lokonga, White and Nuno Tavares. Aston Villa made big moves with the Jack Grealish money signing Leon Bailey, Danny Ings, Sanson, Buendia and Todd Cantwell. Tottenham also made plenty of moves selling their star man signing Vlahovic, Romero, Ake', Lamptey and Bryan Gil.
Leicester City have come close to the top four but failed the past two seasons. Bringing in two young strikers and a defensive midfielder, Rodgers will take another shot at the top this season. And the final surprise team is West Ham. Making a big move for Tammy Abraham, keeping Jesse Lingarrd and signing Pereira from West Brom.
Relegation contenders
Brentford, Norwich, Brighton, Burnley and Watford all look like they will struggle this season. Crystal Palace and Wolves are two to keep an eye on as well.
