Lack of penalties

Yet again another year of maxed out penalties and virtually nothing called even on simulation. I just don't understand why it's so hard to get this part of the game correct? Is anyone out there seeing them?

I started a thread under jayd in madden general discussion over on answers.ea forum which is gaining traction and I have the attention of someone at EA so go blow it up.

Do not max it. Idk if it’s bugged or what, I moved everything to 95 and stuff Atleast gets called.

Had a 1 holding and 3 block in the back last night during the 1st quarter and halfway through 2nd before I had to go to bed.

They do still need to make the slider way more sensitive. Let us have a bunch if we want.

What's comical is that the penalty slider says "based on NFL data' @ default 50. So it appears that penalties are not called IRL anymore. Guessing this missed the whole next gen data thing.

Do they have proper animations for penalties? When a face mask is called does the defender actually do it? Same with holding?

in 3 games on All Pro Play now, default sliders I had 4 penalties. 2 roughing the passer on Myles Garret as he hit the QB just as he was throwing.....these seemed questionable as I think the QB barely got the pass off.

1 Fair catch interference on me as I came too close to Punt returner who waved for the fair catch at the last second. Didn't hit him at all.

1 defensive pass interference against the CPU on a TD pass I completed to OBJ in the end zone. I declined it obviously.

Yeah, I’m curious to see if this ever gets addressed. I had 2 touchdowns taken back due to the penalties last night so it’s a very important aspect of the game, it cannot continue to be neglected.

A football game without penalties EA....is like a baseball game without bats!!!

I really hope you get this fixed. The game so far is damn awesome minus the penalty part.

I remember when there was speculation that penalties effected other things doing gameplay as opposed to the actual penalties in the game.

That's how messed up penalties have been in Madden the past decade.

I do like in CPU vs CPU games you get a good mixture of penalties but for some odd reason in USER vs CPU games lot's of times you might only get 1-2 penalties combined.

I think that explanation under penalties that EA mentions is based on the NFL at default is total B.S.

There's nothing about their penalties at default that represent true NFL penalties.

So if EA has said basically the penalties are what they are I think I’m going to get a refund on my 100 buck purchase and just play the show.

I’m really digging the game play, but football is a game with penalties. Obviously the MUT crowd doesn’t think so, and EA has bowed to the pressure. Not a good look EA. You have totally forgotten about the players that got you to where you are today and that is nothing short of SORRY of you.

I mean whats the point of implementing different game styles if they're all the same? I want simulation to be just that. Makes zero sense.

Penalties make and break games for teams every weekend!!! They are a real huge part of the game!!!

Just make a arcade football game and be done with it if you can’t give the sim players a “true sim” experience.

For years man I have sucked it up and played Madden and it not be what it was hyped to be....not even close to what it should be, and stayed shut up about it. It is what it is mind state.

I can’t afford to continue dropping cash on a “sim” game that can’t be close to sim if things like penalties aren’t in the game.

NO PENALTIES EA IS NOT SIM FOOTBALL!!!

I REFUSE TO OPEN YOUR PACKS OF CARDS AS WELL!!!

Just wanted to say I’m damn bummed over this!!! I want to enjoy the game for what it is, but the penalties kinda ruin it for me.
