Having defenders actually touch players down when they go to ground is such a nice little touch. It's something I hadn't really thought about in previous editions but seeing it happen in M22 actually made me smile

Re: Madden NFL 22 - The Little Things
They have player specific commentary now in play now live/franchise games when they show the draft class recap on screen. Heard them talking about Justin Fields and Teven Jenkins when I played as the Bears in play now live for this weeks game vs Miami.

Re: Madden NFL 22 - The Little Things
thing for me is the little podcast/radio show in franchise mode. they have interviews and guests on the show and talk about things going on in the past and present. havent had one of those since madden 05. been asking to bring this back for years. its not as good as madden 05 but its a step in the right direction. now we just need a weekly showComment

Re: Madden NFL 22 - The Little Things
A little thing that's REALLLYYY big...as of now, the days of dropping back 15 yards and still being able to connect the n a dime with your throws appear to be over. That's huge in head to head matchups. I've played 3 online head to head matchups today and any time my opponent attempted that the accuracy of their throws were off. I pray this doesn't change with a patch."Dunks are tough, but when a 35 footer come rainin out the sky...it'll wire you up"Comment

Re: Madden NFL 22 - The Little Things
If you play defense from the "defensive perspective" camera like me, if you click the LS 3 times rapidly you get a zoomed "player locked" camera angle.
This USED to be the default view until a couple years ago when they went to a wider "player lock" camera angle.
I was thrilled to find this out. Maybe it was like this last year I dont know but i dont believe it was.Comment

Re: Madden NFL 22 - The Little Things
I was playing the Packers Texans game and Jordan Love ran out of bounds, the camera man closest to him jumped out of the way and fell into the camera man that was next to him who was then laying on the ground which caused Jordan Love to stumble on the sidelines because he tripped on the 2nd camera mans leg as he was moving out of the way.

Am a sports photog & have been in this situation many of times. Last time I was even remotely in this situation, another photographer behind got hit so hard it damn near knocked her out. Literally stopped the game for like 2 minutes or so. I then moved to the away teams side of the field & by the time I looked back over on that side, she was barely getting up off the ground with the help of the trainers. Very scary situation but **** like this happens.Hook EMComment

Re: Madden NFL 22 - The Little Things
I noticed the commentators call out names when talking about injuries. It used to be the big name players but I heard last names of smaller players like Johnson and Smith.

Re: Madden NFL 22 - The Little Things
Been seeing some pretty slick animations on M22. To start I saw a LB come down and sack the QB one on one but as the sack animation played out,the LB ripped away the ball and took over position. This all happened as they were falling down to the ground as the defense takes possession. Next I absolutely love the broken tackles where the ball carrier has a defender on a bad angle and the defender slips off the ball carrier. To me this is what the BREAK TACKLE rating is supposed to acknowledge. The ability for a ball carrier to shed tackles WITHOUT any controller input. These should play out organically and smooth. Great animations all around this year. Playing on X1X.

Re: Madden NFL 22 - The Little Things
Noticed an animation play out for a hit stick with the ball carrier facing away from the defender. RB Caught a pass out in the flat and the Flat defender came up and hit him from behind and an animation that made sense actually played out. Feel like I hadnt seen that in previous years, usually they would warp into a side-hit animation.Comment

Yeah I had something like that happen last week, it was Panthers vs Bears and Brian Burns took the ball away from Dalton during a sack as he was standing up, pretty cool.

Re: Madden NFL 22 - The Little Things
Don’t think I’ve seen anybody mention this, noticed it back in the beta. The walls lining the field behind the sidelines are solid now, as in the football bounces off of them when you throw a pass away, before it would magically disappear right through it. Also pretty sure players will not warp into them after td’s or when running out the back of the endzone after a pass, nice job of removing some immersion breaking issues that had been in the game forever.Comment

Re: Madden NFL 22 - The Little Things
The momentum meter in this game is incredible. I played two preseason games drastically different from each other being on both ends of the meter. I had full momentum going in one game and threw a pick and it dropped like 70%. I could see momentum swings within the game making it a real battle rather than just two teams in a neutral site playing a robotic game.
I am dreading playing the Seahawks or Chiefs in their home stadiums.Comment

Re: Madden NFL 22 - The Little Things
I’ve switched back to playing D line (Rashan Gary) on defense after 10 plus year playing off ball defense. Think it does help cpu execute better if I don’t cherry pick their route combos. I love the combinations they’ve added with the right stick. May have been implemented last year but the actual move list is there now and I enjoy mixing up the combos. Speed rush with rip combo is just so enjoyable when it works!Comment
