    IGN Madden Review

IGN is my favorite and most credibly site for game reviews, and I thought Kat did a fantastic, fair, and non biased review. Take a look for yourself.

" while it’s a functional way to experience football, it’s also charmless and frequently strange – the video game equivalent of navigating a concrete concourse under a dirty teflon roof." (6.0 "okay").

Personally I'd be in this range as well, though bc of the bugs and unplayable aspects of franchise mode I'd have it closer to a 5.2-5.4.

You lost me when you said IGN was credible.

too often spreads itself thin trying to appeal to all football fans.
IGN definitely is not a reviewer I would say is very "credible", but the review wasn't bad. I quoted the sub-headline that I think sums Madden's struggles up well. They simply short themselves by trying to be one size fits all.

The fact that IGN scored it so “low” is interesting. I feel like they try their hardest to give every game a good score.

How hardcore are they if they're giving this a 90% rating?

One was to lose credibility easily.

If 2K has some success doing the arcade thing, maybe Madden will be forced to let that part of it go and specialize in simulation football. One would hope...

                    Re: IGN Madden Review

This IGN reviewer is criticizing the Home Field Advantage mechanic for not being even more OP... one big play should NOT dramatically swing momentum, yet h̶e̶'s̶ she's complaining that a long touchdown to OBJ simply reset the momentum to zero, instead of drastically swinging it completely the other way. That would be way too strong of an effect.

SMH. I do not agree with this g̶u̶y̶ gal here. It's fine being SUBTLE. It should NOT be extremely dramatic!

The only review that matters to me…..is my own.

And that goes for a lot of things. But especially anything that is artistic.

Music, movies, and yes video games.

                        Re: IGN Madden Review

The producers didn’t consider putting legends in a fantasy draft?!? Every other sports game (even UFC) has legends ready and available, even if you have to pay for them. Madden has them stashed away in MUT, which I will always have zero interest in playing. So every year, instead of just buying Randy Moss et al, I have to create him and every other legend that EA created & paid for, but keeps in some weird silo. Just asinine.
