Well, I signed into my Microsoft account and was able to request a refund. I feel confident I'll get it since I only purchased the NON-working game yesterday.
Super disappointed but I'll just wait a couple days until I see this issue has been fixed. But they can't have my money until I have a working game that isn't potentially destroying my Xbox by shutting it down in the middle of gameplay.
Madden is my all time favorite game and so you can feel my bitter disgust at EA. All year long they gave us that crap about this launch and then this happens. Worst BLEEPING launch of Madden ever.
