We need hands on proof(demo) that they addressed the defense this year

Not a blog with Mike Wang lying through his teeth.

I remember last year him talking about foot planting… yea right, if he meant foot planting in terms of the defender literally being planted to the ground while trying to defend a pick and roll then I guess he was right.

Tbh, I don’t hate 2k and we all want it to be amazing, it just seems like they let certain issues with the game linger on for a few years, hopefully this isn’t one of them.

I definitely need a demo. Im not on the same type of time as the brainwashed company men who take everything 2k says at face value and do damage control when obligations aren’t met.

Whether or not they release a demo this year could be telling. 2K has consistently released some type of demo for years. They didn't have a nextgen demo last year but I thought that was understandable as I think most people that bought a nextgen console already knew what games they were going to purchase. Hopefully they have a demo for both current and nextgen for 2k22. I think more so than ever fans are cautious going into this game with how quiet 2k has been.

That's not going to happen so the smart thing to do is to wait until the game has been out for about a month so that you don't feel like you've been deceived.

Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.

Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.

Just wait a week before purchasing.

I know the 2K community has some serious FOMO, but you can't just blindly buy a product you are unsure on.

I'm not OP but waiting until it's $30, unless I'm blown away by the quality of the game.

The demo is not really that important. It's not like we found all the problems in the past games based on the demo before....I'm just saying.

Sheesh! I could maybe hold off until basketball season starts but I can wait the almost 6 months for it to be $30.

They didnt even claim that they fixed the defenses main problems this year. They just stated they overhauled onball/perimeter defense which wasn't even the problem in 2k21. The nonexisting court awareness and help rotation of AI defenders paired with the subpar shot contest system was the main problem in 2k21. Inside scoring in our online league and offensive ratings are at an all time high. Even the worst team is better than the best real NBA team.

As is the norm with most sports games.

There will be no demo. People will either buy day 1 and disappoint themselves, or, wait until reviews/footage is released

DA czar the gameplay dev said he was focusing on the defense and it would be fixed. A lot of the pnr stuff he says he had a fix for last year but they couldn't risk patching it in and it potentially breaking something else

I feel like people sometimes act like waiting isn't an option. We don't need to preorder or buy the game day 1. It's not like the game is going to sell out and be out of stock like the next gen consoles. The game isn't suddenly going to stop being available to buy. If people don't have the information they want by day 1, just wait. Chances are people will know everything they need to know a week or two after release, and it probably won't even take that long.

There is never anything wrong with waiting. I just think of the Cyberpunk launch fiasco. Not letting CDPR off the hook, the game should have never released in that state, but if people waited instead of buying Day 1 they could have avoided disappointment and regret. Hopefully we don't need to worry about that type of situation with 2k22 but for anyone worried about the game not meeting their expectations simply wait and you'll find out everything you need to know.
