Corrupted save(PS5)

Has anyone had this or something similar happen to them? So I was 4 years into an offline franchise. I finally got Devonta Smith to Superstar X factor. As I completed the game I went to check stats and then clicked exit. 1-2 seconds after I clicked exit the game crashes and kicks me back to the PS5 menu. Fine. I boot the game back up, click to load the autosave and it kicks me back main franchise save menu. WTF??? Ok. Fine.Try it again and same result. Now because of the loss glitch I have been saving before I start each week's game. Go to boot up the MANUAL save and the same thing happens. WTF!!??? Without thinking I get pissed and turn of the PS5. Now in the process it syncs my local save to the one in the PS+ cloud. Just screwed myself from getting the earlier save.(It definitely synced the corrupted on because I checked an hour later)

My thing is this...why did the MANUAL save get corrupted??? It crashed in between exiting the game and loading the franchise menu so I can understand the AUTOSAVE being corrupted.

I had this happen to me last year on Madden 21 for PS5.

I can't say for sure that I found the culprit but I think that maxing out your save slots or simply reaching a certain amount of saves will cause this BUG to happen.

Once it happens odds are it'll keep popping up so for me, I had to erase all my franchise saves, start fresh, and made sure to only have about 6 or 7 local/system saves at a time.

This is also a PS4 Madden 21 thing.


And a PS4 Madden 22 thing.


I typically have two save files that I alternate between to protect myself. I learned this from Madden 21.


But incredibly "save file 1" was corrupted in a crash as you described. So I load "save file 2" which is a few weeks old. But this file seems broken as well. Any save I make from this poisoned one won't load.

Same issue. Year 4 or 5. The franchise will crash after a game deep in the season and you can't load anything. Even the original or backup or autosave. Just happened to my 3rd franchise. Heartbreaking. Worked real hard making those teams good. EA should be ashamed.
