NBA 2k22 Next-Gen Art feedback Thread

That time of year.
First trailer has been released and cyber faces are subject to change for release.

Noticeable players that need to be updated:

Stephen Curry - shorter hair
Carmelo Anthony - needs beard and braids
Lebron James - needs longer beard (or option for longer beard)
Rudy Gobert - needs longer hair
Kyrie - face scan seems off, like he has a swollen top lip.
Devin booker - shorter hair
Anthony Davis - longer beard option and shorter sleeves on his undershirt

Probably missed a few other things

We have received a day one patch previously that updates a few players so just said that to cover the possibility

Poor Warriors fans..

So far there looks to be zero players updated based on the trailer. Everyone looks the exact same...A good shot at the bench if you zoom in at 1:15 in the trailer.

The ones that needed hairstyle changes were Steph, Wiggins, Lee and most importantly, Poole. ALL unchanged from 2K21. No new Wiseman scan either.

Of course it's subject to change by launch but at this point I have little faith in the 2K art team.

Kyrie's character has gotten worse over the years. I think 2k16 got him down best.

Kyrie's character has gotten worse over the years. I think 2k16 got him down best.

I don't know how they manage to mess up Kyrie. They had him in the booth sine he was cover athlete for 2K18 but somehow messed up his face scan. Ever since, all they did was add more hair or beard and now this 2K remove the beard....it just looks bad.

His face is too fat.

Kyrie used to have a chubby face/build until he switched his diet. Hence why when they removed his beard the facial structure don’t match

Yeah, he's thinner than what he looked like at one point with the Cavs. His weight seemed to fluctuate a bit during those years.

I'm really surprised that this is about to be the 4th year in a row with the same Lebron scan. I know that he doesnt change his look that much other than a fade/blow out with the beard, but his scan looks so outdated on next gen when you see so many players with more updated and next-gen quality level scans. I know he may be too busy to come in for a new scan, but I'm sure the art team can update his render just like they did with Kobe's cyber face, which is damn near photo-realistic.

We need to start seeing some next gen body types.

Even before that, just fix the proportions and get rid of the big heads so many players have. It's been like that since around 2K18.
