NBA 2K22 Completed Classic Teams Project (PS5)

    Hi guys

Maybe some of you played with my roster in the past years, i used to make MJ Season rosters. I made a poll to decide my 1st project for 2k22 on my YT channel and "The Completed Classic Teams" project won by a huge margin, so i decided to start with it. Every time a new team is completed i will post a quick video showing the new added players and some stuff.

      - Accurate CAP for the missing players
      - Accurate Shoes and Accessories for all the players, no 2k shoes
      - End of the Season or Playoffs rosters for all the classic teams
      - Signature Style Fix for the most important players
      - Shot\3p tendency fix for all the players
      - Accurate Rotation for all the classic teams
      - At least 12 real players for every classic team, up to 15 if possible
      Yes please. Thank you.
I can't really get into the game until I have the players looking right. That's one of the main things I've never understood about 2K: how could you not get the classic player accessories (and maybe shoes) accurate because it's not like they're going to wear something different because of obvious reasons.

So, another user "Napjcjd" opened a thread about his version of "completed classic teams" for ps5.

Now, im wondering, since we are working at the same thing basically, should i change my plan and go ahead with a Retro Season?

        Dont know tbh

I say yes. Everybody edits the rosters a bit differently, but I feel like as long as the classic teams are filled that job is done. Maybe if the other project falls through you come back to this after a season roster.

This may sound arrogant but I'm going to be blunt:

I would love for you to go ahead with your plans. When I did classic team editing for NBA 2K11-13, I followed (the legend) portlandblazer's appearance and shoe guide to get everything accurate to the detail. I watched all 6 of my Bulls championship season dvds to get correct player appearances for Chicago and their opponents. In doing my last roster editing project, newly unlocked classic teams for NCAA Basketball 10, it took me 1 1/2 to 2 hours per team: I Google imaged every individual player to get his accurate accessories and shoes.

Simply put, I don't know any one else to have that crazy level of attention to detail that I do....except you. I've checked out rosters and thought to myself, "This player didn't wear black socks with white shoes". That's something I've always prided myself on, and I know you do, too.

Again, this is in no way meant to be a shot at other classic team roster editors, but if we're honest, a lot of people do edits for the top players and miss fine details, such as Michael Jordan wearing the band on his forearm pretty much until the 1991 postseason when he then started wearing it on his elbow.

As MavsManiac said, everybody does roster editing differently. To Napjcjd's credit, he does research and appears to be dedicated (which is a must in doing these types of projects). It would be good to have both your and his rosters available to the community because you guys have a proven track record.

Super excited about this roster! I just switched to the PlayStation community this year. You guys are WAY more thorough and interested in the classic rosters. Thanks in advance, I cheer you on from Michigan.

Re: NBA 2K22 Completed Classic Teams Project (PS5)

So, i completed the Seattle Sonics 1995-96 with Ford and Scheffler. I edited shoes, accessories, rotations.

I was thinking about fixing the contracts too

Those are the 1995-1996 Sonics salaries

                      Schrempf 5 mill
                      Perkins 3.97 mill
                      Brickowski 3.25 mil
                      Kemp 3.00 mil
                      Payton 2.78 mil
                      Hawkins 2.50 mil
                      Askew 1.80 mil
                      McMillan 1.26 mil
                      Johnson 767k
                      Wingate 560k
                      Ford 500k
                      Scheffler 250k
                      Snow 200k

With today inflation, they should be

                      Schrempf 8.45 mil
                      Perkins 6.76 mill

                      etc...

Since i have never touched contracts before, can\should i touch the contracts of the classic players already in the game? Im pretty sure they are not accurate.
If so, should i adjust using today inflation or in any other way?

                          I edited shoes, accessories, rotations

                          and this

                          - All the missing players for all the classic teams in the game
                          - Accurate info, bio, numbers for all the players
                          - Accurate CAP for the missing players
                          - Accurate Shoes and Accessories for all the players, no 2k shoes
                          - End of the Season or Playoffs rosters for all the classic teams
                          - Signature Style Fix for the most important players
                          - Shot\3p tendency fix for all the players
                          - Accurate Rotation for all the classic teams
                          - At least 12 real players for every classic team, up to 15 if possible
                          - Head Coach real name and lookalike face, when available

then you've done enough in my opinion. Contracts would just be icing on the cake. (I still haven't even opened the game yet)

Yeah i guess so, but leaving something not "right" kind of upset me so...

Im struggling to find a good "lookalike" for Phil Jackson, i found a good face but with no beard\moustache, damn.

If so, should i adjust using today inflation or in any other way?

Since the contracts only come into play for MyNBA mode, I probably wouldn't bother with the contracts unless the rosters were for a specific season or era.
