Any changes at all to MJ’s likeness / sigs /etc.?

I heard they added some new Kobe sigs which is great.

Any changes to Jordan at all? Aesthetically it appears he’s identical to 2K21 next gen. Unless I’m missing something.

Anything of note with him, especially signatures?

I would like to know as well. He needs a long overdue update.

So to answer my own question.

Everything is identical to last year. He still has his dribble combo and I’m assuming/hoping it’s both the normal “R up” and “R up turbo” from last year.

Technically they didn’t remove any sigs and added one dribble sig (running crossover).

All his other dribble sigs now are of other players. It’s weird seeing him with Lillard and Kobe dribble sigs.

He now has a Kobe fadeaway sig which is new. I guess it’s maybe more accurate than last years? Since Kobe copied his exact fade. Kinda funny since it should be MJ’s sig to begin with lol.

          Man, please share your findings.

I feel like they just gave him any random dribble sigs. No way he dribbles like f’ing Tatum, Lillard, etc. lmao. They wish. Ridiculous.

2K20 and previous 2k's had far greater customization for MJ. His likeness hasn't changed at all.

They had a much larger span of jumper options to the point where I had his play style absolutely nailed. Step backs. Shimmy shots. Pulls ups.

            All been been neutered.

2k22 is sorely lacking. Even his 'signature' size up doesn't look accurate. MJ was never really a sauce type player with over the top handles. Guy was fundamental perfection, yet 2k22 has removed a plethora of standard dribble/shot options.

Exactly. It looks disgraceful with MJ having these goofy showy dribble moves from other players. Like cheapens the immersion into him. The dude was literally no wasted movements. His lightning first step rendered dribbling in place meaningless. In 2K21 I didn’t need to do those dribble moves as it was so easy to get to the basket with him. Hoping 22’s defensive improvements don’t make it so you can’t beat defenders with simple reflexes, footwork and athleticism, therefore have to rely on dribble moves.

Another issue I found is in 2K22 does anyone find it impossible to use the post trigger, lay into a defender, then spin off them to get to the rack? That was a patented MJ move. In 22 when I try it, my player unrealistically just turns around and faces the defender. So dumb.

Would love to help, but after a full 2 days of playing, I gave up and am sending the game back.

I'm sticking with 2k20 and perhaps even 2k16 again. SOOOO many more player customization options for shooting and dribbling.

I could care less about shiny next gen visuals, so long as I can get players playing the way they should, with unique move sets.

I think he really needs a new face scan and they need to make his arms a lil longer. Also need to update his signature animations

                      I'm sad, too, believe me.

The gameplay itself is wonderful, as is the game mechanics and control scheme, but there's just not enough customization for the players. 2K have taken too many options away and we're left with next to nothing to enable some kind of difference in personality between players. Hell, they don't even have options for shimmy shots or hooks in the game anymore, let alone taken away dozens of standard/pro dribble & jumper options.

At this point, I'm just a broken record, repeating myself. It is what it is - I tried, at least.

I'm currently continuing my tendency/signature/play book edits of your 2k20 rosters as we speak. Been playing it all afternoon. I'm more than happy to stick with 2k20. It's a great game.

There's some, but 2K20 basically had a whole section containing tons of shimmy shot options and several standard hook shot options. Same for pull ups and step backs All we have now is a bare few sig shots for high profile players, but no substantial animations for normal to mid tier players as in years before.

The sig size ups for example are just loaded with god tier dribblers with but a handful from past eras. (AI, Tim Hardaway and a few more) In previous games, we had a large selection of standard dribble options for those who didn't handle the ball like an And 1 mix tape, or there were at least players with more standard size ups that could be used for retro players.

Anyhow, I'm back on 2k20 now, so no point in me grumbling anymore.

2K really removing signatures for no reason at all. Looks like the dunk packages are lighter than last year. They removed some classic player dunk sigs. How you gonna remove Shawn Kemp, one of the best dunkers of all time.

Though I’m not convinced Kemp’s dunk package in 2K21 wasn’t just a collection of already existing dunks he’s individually equipped with.

Seem like they should've left those signatures alone and just focused on gameplay. Hoping for a patch or else I'm skipping 2k22 also. MJ signatures need to be updated in the best way possible
