Re: Benefit of offline vs online solo franchise?
Downside of Online, is when Xbox, Playstation, Origin servers go down you can't access your franchise. Or if you have an internet outage.
Upside Simming is way fasterComment

Which basically never happens.
Been playing solo online cfms since its inception, and have had less issues than i can count on 1 hand."Not the victory but the action. Not the goal but the game. In the deed the glory."Comment

Re: Benefit of offline vs online solo franchise?
One thing I like about offline solo franchises is that you can take control of an opposing team to do things like set depth charts, formation subs, and auto subs, then retire that coach and play the game.
I think it's a bit more cumbersome to do these sorts of things in solo cloud franchises.Comment

Re: Benefit of offline vs online solo franchise?
I don't get why anyone would chose online considering you're forced to use auto-save only, and you can't experiment at all. You're also totally f***ed if there's some weird franchise-ruining glitch. All you gotta do is look up in dat tree.Comment

Re: Benefit of offline vs online solo franchise?
Online has faster loading times/simulation times.
Online allows you to play franchise with your friends.
Online autosaves so you have to play 100% honest and on form with resigns and when drafting (no backups, no scum saves).
Offline allows multiple profiles (one per team) so you can play 32 owner franchise (known as commissioner mode) and you can create any environment you want, fire any coach, sign any players.
Offline you can play locally with housemates/family etc and it works when the Internet or servers are down.
Offline you can quit if something goes wrong and reload. You used to be able to save backups (like after setting up 32 owner mode so easy to restart leagues) but not sure now?Comment

Re: Benefit of offline vs online solo franchise?
Can one of you explain what is loading so much faster on a cloud based franchise? I mean offline, other than when I launch the game, almost everything I do is practically instantaneous other than the stupid Madden 22 animations in the loading screens. I totally understand the simulating being faster. Unless we are talking about last gen versions here I don't have to deal with any load times for my offline CFM on PS5. Thanks is advance.Comment

Re: Benefit of offline vs online solo franchise?
Something I like about offline franchise: when going into a new season and you don’t like the schedule, you can go back to a different save point and get a new schedule. It’s the same teams obviously, but I hate when I have 5 home games in a row or too many night games. Sometimes it takes me a few tries before I get a nice even schedule. I wish they would add an option to online franchise to regenerate the schedule until you get one you like.Comment

Re: Benefit of offline vs online solo franchise?
Honestly, even though it’s more work, the best advantage of offline is simply 32 team control where every team can have scenarios. Can spend 30 minutes or so weekly running through various team’s scenarios to make it feel more alive.Comment
