So basically the high level flow I understand is:
Create a vanilla gamecube franchise save
Use the hex method i outlined to extract the gamecube franchise db
Use madden extreme editor to open said db
Import tables from your source franchise to the gamecube one. << here is where we could use documentation on everything people should import from a pc madden 08 game save

Save the gamecube db and re import it into the gamecube franchise file (gci)


Edit: I use excel and hxd for hex editing
Team does so more than that, it also does the end zone and midfield logos and team overall, stats, City ID's and a few more things.

Salary is not just held to the SLRI, its SACP, SADP and SAYP and I am changing numbers on these to how they affect signing, bonuses and stuff.

I'm still going through the ones I don't know to figure out what they are and what happens when you manipulate them.
