Never seen a way to do it. IR is useless in my experience.

I don't know with 100% certainty if this applies in Madden, but in real life a player who is placed on Injured Reserve during preseason is not allowed to return.

David Bahktiari has had a pre-existing injury for basically all of Madden 22's life cycle and is still on PUP in real life. If he was placed on IR in-game before the regular season started, Madden may (correctly) not allow him to return.

Yep.. that's a big drawback from using preexisting injuries with their rosters. Most, if not all of the injured players are on IR, even the ones with no injury.

I believe it will reset next season but it stinks you can't use them in the current season.

Actually I was wrong he’s still out although his status is uninjured? I need him in my lineup ASAP as he’s my best online man and left tackle

When a player is on IR the player is out for 8 weeks. Once you hit Week 9 you go to the player profile and you'll see remove from IR

Actually, I think it is 6 weeks, and they can return week 7. I had Da'Shawn Hand injured (pre existing) and I was able to get him off IR for my week 7 game against the Rams.

This happened to me with Ty Hilton. I can't remember what week it is, but eithers 6th to 8th, it will allow you to remove him. Just keep checking. Although I believe they still have the old rules, so you can only take two off per year so choose wisely.

IR has issues right now, especially with pre existing injuries. Ryan Fitzpatrick never came off of the IR in my first season despite being uninjured and me always having an open slot on the roster. However, Samuel randomly returned in week 13 or 14 after being uninjured since week 4 of the season.

Both were on IR from preexisting injuries, one could return and did randomly, the other stayed uninjured and available to return, but never did return no matter what I did.
