Hello everyone, with the end of the WNBA 2021 Season upon us I would like to take this time to announce the Slooty2k WNBA Roster for Xbox Series X. Named for the Point God, Courtney Vandersloot, this roster is aimed towards sim gameplay and the most accurate to detail accessories, shoes, ratings, badges, and tendency edits in order to have WNBA players and teams feel like their real life counterparts.

Roster Features:
-2021 Roster and MyWNBA scenario based on the 2021 WNBA season
-2022 Roster to be updated as 2k releases roster updates and following -WNBA free agency transactions in January
-Generic face fixes for WNBA players missing face scans with appearance updates as 2k releases player likeness patches
-Custom WNBA PE shoes and colorways, to be updated following 2k shoe releases and additions
-stats.wnba.com used for shooting ratings and tendencies, rebounding, defensive and passing attributes.
-Physical attributes and signature shots based on film
-Corrected contracts based off spotrac, fixed vitals and play-types.
-Coach edits and playbook updates

Expected Release Dates:
Demo Roster (Mid-November): Featuring generic face fixes, full accessory and shoe edits, light rating and tendency work
Full 2021 Roster: December

ROSTER PREVIEW AND UPDATE 1

With the release of the new facescans in patch 1.7, all WNBA players have now been either updated with new scans or have had face edits for generic faces. Accessories and shoes should be done soon and followed by signature shot edits and some light rating and tendency edits for Demo release in a couple weeks. Hello everyone, all face edits, shoes, accessories, vitals and sigs are done for each player and team. Rotations have been set and in the case of players who had suspended contracts or who missed the season due to Eurobasket or Olympics obligations they will be listed with the teams who retain their rights. Ratings, tendencies and badges have not been touched for the most part so some players will not play like themselves and a few players are due for significant ratings and badge increases (i.e. Jewell Loyd, Kahleah Copper). Players from the 2020 and 2021 WNBA drafts who all have bigman dunk styles, default big layups, the Al Horford free throw, etc. have had appropriate sigs applied to the best of my ability (sigs will be continually updated as this is not my strong suit, if anyone has recommendations or suggestions or would like to help in this regard feel free to PM me).

The roster will be up for about a week from which point I will start to upload the ratings, tendency and badge edits before I finish with custom playbooks. In the meantime, I highly suggest using different playbooks as the base WNBA ones assigned to each team are highly outdated. Versatile playbooks like 13 Heat and Warriors work really well with most teams. I am listing the roster file information, some playbook recommendations, and free agent rights. Thank you everybody!

Unfortunately, this project hit a major setback. Somehow all my NBA2k22 files were corrupted and although the roster is fine and should be released in the next month, all the custom colorways and WNBA kicks I planned on releasing alongside the roster are gone and I don't know if I can get them back somehow or what I can do with 2ksupport. Even if I remake all the shoes which is a long process in itself, Im not sure how to prevent data loss from happening again so I'm just really discouraged with this game at the moment.
