    Which difficulty is best?

Pro is too easy but the game is super smooth

All star seems to be the right challenge but the gameplay is sluggish

Anyway to get the game to play smooth like it does on Pro without being too easy?

Put the cpu difficulty to max.Makes it a bit more difficult and put the cpu goalie up 10 more than human . That's what I do.

I play on PRO and I give the CPU a +2 advantage on each slider. If it gets too easy then the CPU gets another +1 advantage on each slider until I am satisfied. That's how I do it every year and I'm happy with it.

Superstar has been really good this year, was actually really surprised how much I liked it over the other difficulties (Thanks fellow OS'ers). I think turning up the "aggressiveness" slider might help if you want to stay at Pro. One thing I've noticed from All-Star vs Supertsar was the lack of aggressions/pressure even when the CPU team was set to "high pressure" which lead to me easily picking corners with a lot of time and space. Supserstar isn't as bad with that + I jacked up the aggressiveness to 100 and now I'm really actually having to be creative to find open space for the puck. Seems like it's at least partially mitigated the lackluster CPU defense when going behind their net with the puck.

Another thing that people might want to keep in mind if you want to spend the effort, goalies play a lot deeper this year it seems. I had them at 80 aggressiveness last year and have been using 99 this year because all other levels make them sit mid-blue and give up easy snipes from far out way too often. Could be the mix of screens mattering more as well, I'll have to keep testing.

Go to gameplay sliders and it's the last which is ai.Just below ai learning is cpu difficulty adjustment.

I have been playing on all star. I love the next gen. I hope it is ok to post here, but how do I score? I got out shot 35-2 last night. Is there you tube video or something? I am a 58 yr hockey lifer and cannot score at all. Shot goes wide or hits the goalie in the mask! Thank you

I'm older as well, try Pro the cpu isn't as aggressive. I lowered speed down to one as well.

I think the game is designed to be played on pro, and the higher difficulties basically give the CPU the ability to cheat, tilt the ice, whatever you want to call it.

I've found using pro and giving the PC advantage in sliders to work better. But to each their own.

Pro is the only way to go for me. I have the cpu goalie attributes up as well and the difficulty is perfect for me.

I'm winning 50% of my games and goals/shots are right where they should be.

How do you get the cpu to shoot more,I have a competitive game but I can sometimes hold them to under 10 shot in a 5 minute period game. And I'll get 40 shots.

I've come to the conclusion that Superstar is easier than All-Star.And it also plays much better and smoother than All-star,not as frantic.

Honest answer is you are probably just better than me. I play 8 minute periods and cpu usually gets around 30-35 and I get 35-40. I'm very average at the game so it's not a problem yet.
