    Live playbook

I asked this question at the beginning of the season and I think most of us were using live playbooks OFF but now that we’re a bit of games in the season has anyone been using live playbooks ON now or sticking with them OFF still?

Has there been a difference in cpu playcalling?

I play with it on. More passing(which is realistic) is the difference I see.

So the purpose of live playbooks is for EA to update what plays teams run over the course of the season.

Is that actually happening this season? I have heard not a peep about it to this point, other than I remember EA saying something about how they wanted to do more with it than they did last year. As far as I know they have not yet accomplished this.

Haven’t noticed any difference in AI.

There’s a bug where if you have Live Pb turned On you have to reselect your playbook before every game in CFM.

Also AFAIK there have not been any playbook updates or live playbook changes.

I've been using the Packers live playbook for over a month now and haven't noticed any changes. Not sure I can even tell a difference between the live and non live version.

There isn't any. I'm curious if they're actually gonna touch Live playbooks this year. I wouldn't be surprised for them to just ignore it and not say anything about it.

It annoys me to have to toggle it on before each game, sometimes I forget. Anyway to keep live pb on?

I don't think there is a way but for us offline players without two controllers cpu doesn't have live on. They really need to expand the settings and coaching options within instead of in game and just fix what is broken. Substitutions has been broken for years say after like 9 teams I believe it doesn't save the existing teams.

You mean you didn't read the Playbooks Gridiron Notes Blog that Clint said is getting ready to release in August 2021?

...yes, that's a link to nowhere because the blog was never released.

Honestly, I’m more disappointed that it’s just formatted text and I can’t actually click through the link only to get Rick Roll’d. :-)

I thought that if you turn your playbook to ON then it also turns on the cpu to, supposedly

That’s what I heard they said last year too.

It was a assumption. I know when I select my team playbook on and check the other team with a second controller it is selected off. Is there a way to tell if it is on?

                            Re: Live playbook

Like every other season since Live playbooks have been around, EA will remember they exist after a cool, iconic play happens in the Super Bowl. Something like the Philly Special or 2-3 Jet Chip Wasp.

They'll use Live Playbooks to put in that play...allowing for a bunch of articles talking about that one cool play that EA immediately made available in Madden (but still not making them available for custom playbooks).

Then they'll forget the feature exists until the following February.

Has it been confirmed when user selects live playbook it turns on the cpu playbook as live or is cpu still generic?
