Players Not Returning From Injury When “Uninjured”
In my franchise (series X) I have players on my injury report on IR who are listed as uninjured but under return it says “no”. If I click on those players there is no option of removing them from the IR and putting them back in lineup. Why is this?Tags: None -

Someone else correct me if i'm wrong....
1) A player must remain on the IR for a minimum of 8 weeks, even if he recovers sooner.
2) I believe there is an option to remove a player sooner, but you're limited to doing that like 2 maybe 3 times per season. -

I think the limit on removing players from IR was removed this (or last) year. You also need to make sure you have a roster space, sonebody posted you need to make the space, and the option to take them off IR will come up the next week. AFAIK, the eight week minimum time on IR is still the same.Comment

Also, the real-life NFL rule is that you have to be on the active roster as of the beginning of the season to be eligible to return from IR, even if only for a day. If they put a player on IR during the preseason, they're ineligible to return.
You often see teams drop a guy to waivers, then stash them on the PS, just so they can carry a guy onto the 53-man roster...as soon as they've made the initial 53, they put the hurt guy on IR and call the other guy up from the PS.
It's never been clear whether or not that nuance made it into Madden, but I always wait until week 1 to put a guy on IR just in case.Comment
