Classic roster file sharing - NHL 22 on PS5
Does anyone have any plans to make a classic roster file for when the roster sharing feature patch is released in December? I was looking to work on a mid-90s roster if anyone would want to collaborate...PSN ID: artvandelegheTags: None -

Yes, I am working on a 1994-95 roster. I've completed 7 out of 26 teams so far, and hopefully I'll be done by the time roster sharing goes live.
Also, if you're interested in classic rosters I recommend joining this discord

Re: Classic roster file sharing - NHL 22 on PS5
Kind of a random question. If we download a, for example, 1997-98 NHL roster, and we want to play a season with them, can we get rid of teams that didn't exist at the time like Seattle, Vegas, Winnipeg, Minnesota, etc? Or do we just have to deal with having them with their current players?NHL: Leafs
MLB: Jays
NBA: Raptors
NFL: Panthers
OHL: Knights and Bulldogs
AHL: Marlies
EPL: Nottingham ForestComment

Good question. I imagine those teams will either be made up of default rosters or the roster creator will sub in retired players or rookies (lots of extra work). The other option, and I found this to be fun to do with '20, is to find a Euro league with the number of teams you want and start a season there and just replace all the teams with NHL teams you want.Kind of a random question. I did this with an all decade set I made for '20. 12 teams, just replaced every team in the Danish league (or whatever league it was that has 12 teams). Plays great and the leading scorer on each team wears a shiny gold helmet lol.
What I want to know is, will they have a player vault? I'm guessing no, but that would sure make creating rosters 100X's easier.Comment

Is anyone looking into creating All Time Teams? i.e. cleaning up the Alumni rosters and adding missing legends players so a true All Time Roster can be made. I would be very interested in this and possibly researching and helping provide spreadsheets for 40-50 man rosters for each team and AHL affiliate so a franchise or season mode can be done with it.Comment

Unfortunately it's not possible to reduce the number of teams in season or franchise mode, so we're stuck with 32 teams. The best way to deal with this IMO is to sub the teams like Vegas and Seattle with some created teams full of low ranked players like random CHL players. This way those teams won't have any chance of making the playoffs. In NHL 21 I created 6 teams with the generic NHL logo, put random CHL players on them and just ignored them in the season mode, simmed the games against them etc.Kind of a random question. Doesn't work well with franchise mode obviously but it's an ok solution for season mode.
For franchise mode I guess we can keep teams like Nashville, Minnesota and Columbus since a few years in they would be in the league anyway. Maybe just fill them with prospects, pretend they're not there for the first couple of years.Comment

I think there are some people on the above mentioned Discord group working on all time rosters. Is anyone looking into creating All Time Teams? i.e. cleaning up the Alumni rosters and adding missing legends players so a true All Time Roster can be made.
