Hey All,


Just wanting your opinions, is Madden 22 at the point I can start my franchise?? Is the game playable and enjoyable with all the updates now in place?? I will use someones sliders from the sliders posts. What should I NEED TO KNOW before getting rolling??

Not hating....but that's a rather broad, open-ended question that's just going to offer up every possible opinion under the sun.

Can you be a little more directed in what you're specifically looking for? Because I could argue it was just as "franchise ready" at launch as it is now....and I could argue the total opposite.

It really depends on the 2 or 3 "key items" that you really need....

I'll answer one question..."Are there any truly game-breaking bugs?" Answer: no.

So let me ask, gameplay-bugs that will ruin the experience and make me throw the controller. Coverage's fixed to a certain point, that will make it fun and challenging. Is the run game acceptable. CPU Defense hard but not impossible, but not too buggy.



Scouting-any bugs that will keep me from building a franchise year to year.



I will probably use Matt10's sliders, Madden or All-Pro.

I don’t know how people are even playing franchise mode. I can’t get past the first preseason game year one. Maybe it’s just a preseason bug, but I don’t want to play a 15 min quarter game just to get stuck on the loading screen once you exit the game.

All you need to do is late in the 4th quarter, close Madden, don't exit don't save, just go the the console menu and close game. When you reload Madden and go to franchise it will give you the option to resume the game. Do it. It should work now, it's a glitch yes but at this point it only seems to be involving the first preseason game.

I wonder if the glitch only affects certain teams or conditions? I just started my second season last night, played the first preseason game and had no problems. Same thing with season 1. I've had my own crashing problems, but never have seen the preseason one.

I did this with the Jets third preseason game against the Eagles and it still happened. After that I gave up. I try again after each patch but so far still no go.

From a vanilla, base game of EA's creation, I would say yes, there's probably not much more coming to the mode this year. There are workarounds for most of the 'bugs' and the game is playable. Have we even heard of any talk of the supposed second and third rounds of franchise updates occurring in-season or was that buried in whatever weekly or monthly advertisement campaign they have for MUT and Superstar KO?



Personally, still holding out on PC as the Progression Tool, Sabo's Gameplay and Franchise Logic mods are still in the pipeline and those will be complete game changers worth waiting for!

Yes.

I got the bug year two in preseason games one and three but not two or any regular season games so far.

Doubt the second and third rounds of franchise updates occurring in-season will happen now. It's almost December and we would have heard something by now. When the Madden team goes quiet on something it's bad news for it historically...
