I like that at least for the time being, I have no idea who is winning either rumble match.

If I had to bet right now on a mens winner, I honestly couldn't.

Womens wise, I'd say Bayley returns and wins (my guess from the moment she got injured).

Which I don't like. Not Mickie in the rumble, the fact that they spoiled it all.

Last time I checked, aren't surprise entrants some of the best parts of rumbles? Especially the first rumble in 2 years with a crowd, and the last time we did have a crowd, we had one of the biggest reactions in rumble history.

It's Mickie James, not Steve Austin. They've had four women's Rumbles and she's been in three of them - it's not exactly a big shock name here.

The biggest surprise is Summer Rae, to be honest. Everyone else has popped up in at least one Rumble and/or a Raw or something.

Mickie isn't a surprise? Someone not even employed in WWE who left on bad terms and is a champ in another company?

Even Lita. Yes, she can appear any year, but nothing in the rumble is official until that music hits and we see them coming out.

As much as you might be anticipating someone, you still dont know for sure until you see them.

Didn’t they just have RVD back on some pre-pandemic Raw while he was still with Impact? If you’re a known name to the WWE audience, sure they’ll bring you in.

“left on bad terms” is…whatever. Feels like one of those things the internet probably hangs onto more than she would. If it still (or ever) mattered to her she wouldn’t have agreed to this Rumble spot.

Being champ in another company itself doesn’t matter either because they’d normally just ignore it, so to correct my previous post - WWE mentioning the Impact Knockouts Championship is the biggest surprise here.

If she’s in another company and they’re letting her compete in the rumble I’d think they’d want the buzz from announcing ahead she’ll be entering

Well Sasha Banks is out of the Women's Royal Rumble. She is out 6-8 weeks with a foot injury. Considering she was the favorite or one of the favorites to win the Rumble, this throws it off a bit.

So Bayley tore her ACL back in July, Sasha now has a foot injury. WWE better place Becky & Charlotte in Bubble Wrap at this point lol.

My guess as the other women in the rumble (19 announced so far):

2 of Bianca/Liv/Doudrop (whoever isn't in the title match)
Xia
Bayley
Asuka
Sonya

so that's 7 of the 11 free spots. Final 4 spots I think will be NXT. Mandy, Raquel, Io, Dakota?

As for the mens rumble, only 7 have been announced so far. My guess at the others:

There's rumors that WWE wants to have certain surprises in the rumble such as

So now I'm wondering who could that be. I'd guess Mickie would be the sole one for the women's rumble, so the mens rumble has one as well?

Hopefully not someone lackluster like a former lower talent who's somewhere else.

Maybe another deal with Impact with someone like Rhino, Dreamer or someone else?

Which I guess would make sense why they spoiled Mickies return, to get the ball rolling with speculation online, whether this new rumor is true or not is a whole other story (but that's part of the fun of the rumble hype for me, not knowing who might appear)

WWE has already filled out the men's and women's Royal Rumble bids decently, totaling nearly half of them. The women's Royal Rumble unexpectedly featured Impact Wrestling knockout champion Mickie James and several other past stars whose appearance without the initial announcement would have been a surprise.

Which will be only 8 days more time than the time between that 2005 Rumble and the 2022 rumble.

Interesting scenario they're hyping up, part of me worries they'll actually do it.

If Charlotte wins the rumble, despite there being another title she could challenge for, she'll instead choose her own challenger at WM. That seems counterproductive. Winning the rumble builds up whoever wins, how is her choosing an opponent a better option for the opponent than that person just flat out winning the rumble themselves?
