I try to be optimistic and I enjoy the game for what it is as best that I can. That said, there's no way that SGO report wasn't accurate.

Agree completely. SGO was absolutely correct in their reporting. EA hasn't even tried to make an announcement or roadmap of enhancements to the mode. I am so bitter towards this company. Outside of Madden, there isn't a single game they make that I will even try.

Ignoring the obvious elephant in the room for just a second: it is a little bit baffling to me on a technical level that changing front-end Superstar X-Factor player and ability assignments requires a title update. Feels like that data should just live happily in the roster file? Obviously it doesn't. That feels weird to me.

As well as the size of the update as well. They had to leave something out because it doesn't add up..

I wonder if they are adding new content files in this for future updates (which just aren't live yet)? I know I've seen other devs do this.

Wouldn't be surprised at all if some of the update was new content for The Yard. I assume that is the mode which will get pushed during the offseason.

As to the content of the update - why the heck was Aaron Jones demoted? He scored double-digit touchdowns and was the sixth-highest graded running back on Pro Football Focus in 2021. His usage was down as A.J. Dillon took on more carries, sure, but his averages per touch were still good, and lower usage shouldn't result in his abilities going away anyway. That demotion in particular feels arbitrary at best, unfair at worst.

Meanwhile, Ezekiel Elliott should have never been X-Factor in the first place lol.
