NHL 2K9 Xbox 360 Default Roster File (DOWNLOAD)

Hello all, it's me again. I recently got my PC back and thus I am tackling stuff I didn't get to do in 2020 and 2021 because of it's absence.

One of those things is finding out the exact future NHL 2K9 Xbox 360 has as far as roster editing goes. Before this post goes live the only way to get an NHL 2K9 Xbox 360 roster of any kind is to search this very forum for a file of a pretty outdated file format that Modio and Horizon won't even read.

So in the hope of a future roster update for NHL 2K9 I am dumping the default roster in the attachments at the end of this post.

I tried opening it in Snowdrift's NHL 2K8 Editor for the heck of it and it didn't work (No surprise there) so this makes me think 2K9 uses the same format as 2K10 and 2K11. when comparing the file with 2K10 it appears to be roughly 200kb smaller but someone with a keen eye might see more differences.

Unfortunately I unknowingly bought the French-Canadian version of the game that still uses the NTSU-U region code. I hope this doesn't really matter as far as the goal of editing a roster file goes.

I don’t have my computer right now but, a question for those that have 2k9 and 2k10: are the player attribute categories the same?

I also. Unfortunately the editing in game is limited to 125 players. Only a roster editing via editor would be possible.

I believe there were slight differences. 2K11 and 10 were practically carbon copies. And 2K6 and 7 off the ice were pretty identical. But 2K9 was sort of its own animal being the first iteration of what became 2K10.

I tried to use The NHL2K10 editor with NHL2K9 roster based and it's imposible. Don't works :-(

Hopefully, someone will come and make a roster editor for the next gen version of NHL 2K9. Until then, any projects I have for the game are limited to the last gen version.
