My one wish is that we can create oldtime classic players and even if there is no vault to store them in, we can save to our console. But...gameplay does win the day so hopefully they got that right.

It continues to baffle me that a video game developer interested in making a tennis game doesn't just copy the Virtua Tennis gameplay from the Dreamcast. It was perfect. Easy to pick up, hard to master, tons of replay value and multiplayer fun. Don't overthink this, make the game simple, period. That game is what, like 20 years old now? Just literally copy the gameplay to a T,  Add a full player creation suite and let the user import those players into career mode and you've got like 98% of what is needed for tennis gaming nirvana.

Agreed. But people's egos--especially people in power--prevent them from following a simple formula that already exists. Video games are no different from the comics/superhero industry: people have to put their own spin on an already established winner to feel original just to say "look at what I did".

Another rinse and repeat tennis game I see. I can look at the gameplay footage and see that its not going to be anything more. Davis Cup tennis for the Turbo Graphix 16 set the bar for tennis games to me. Tennis for the NES was pretty fun. Virtual Tennis on the Dreamcast was the peak. Anything after that hasn't moved me.

No way this Game beats Tennis Elbow 4. Maybe in Graphics and Presentation, but the Gameplay in TE4 is phantastic.
